2024.11.29 20:51 Curious-Confusion642 Anyone have a partner who stuck with them through difficult times or supported them chasing a dream?
Basically I (28m) was dating and told this one girl I wished to do a drastic career change at 30 and pursue a dream. This would involve me upending my current stable middle class life and going totally broke and hungry for 3-5 years before id have anything to show for and even then I'd fail. If I fail I can always go back to my old career however it would be painful to go through life never having taken that risk. She had no idea what i was saying, instantly got turned off and cut me off. I guess she was didnt liek i wasnt the stable provider type I outwardly appeared to be. Not the first time something like this has happened either.
Anyways I'm pretty put off by dating cause of this incident.
Im wondering if anyone has had opposite experiences to this?

2024.11.29 20:51 No_Presentation_2795 8 months clean 3 week relapse.
Quick bit of backstory so i quit in march and used this sub and posted about wanting to quit.(Might have deleted my post not sure) and really struggled, been smoking since i was 16 now 33. The first 2 to 3 weeks were hell, I honestly wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy I really struggled with crying. Doctor visits etc then eventually start getting better slowly and then, You know what it's like. You're feeling better actually doing things. Exercise, memory better eating better etc then all of a sudden cravings Strike and get lazy again and thinking everyday about a smoke, even dreaming about it. Then eventually the craving got the better of me and from the 4th of this month until the 24th I was smoking again daily. Nowhere near as much as I used to but still.
It started "aw il have one at night" to il only smoke at the weekends too il have one or 2 at night then it became skipping meals just to smoke. Then I knew I'm back were I didn't want to be. So I done the clean out phase again. Deleting my dealers number. Threw out my grinder and papers because I know I'm an addict and just can't cope with it unfortunately. So here I am back looking advice because I feel numb. Depression back and just don't feel myself.

Hi! Currently I have been working on a little Raspberry Pi handheld project, and was intending to use some lipo batteries to power it. Since this is the my first time working with these, I just wanted to check that this setup would work / be safe. I currently have:
Charging Module
Boost Circuit
LiPo Battery (possible x2 depending on space constraints)
This will be powering:
Screen
Speaker
Keyboard (removing stock battery and just running a wire directly)
I have a draft of a case 3d modeled, along with some small heat sinks for the pi (a zero 2w) and boost circuit. Is there anything I should know before building this? Is there any other parts / replacements that you would suggest? Did I do something stupid when planning this? Thank you so much for your help!

I had heard a while ago, and I apologize that I can’t remember where I heard this, that the president of the church didn’t used to hold the title of prophet, as that was reserved for Joseph Smith. I remember whoever said this, mentioned that at some point in church history the leaders decided to give the title of prophet to the president of the church, and then extended it to the other members of the Q12.
I don’t know if this is true, though it wouldn’t surprise me. But do any of you who know more about church history know if this is true, and if so, who implemented that change, and possibly have a reference?
My Google searches don’t always give good results when googling church history.
