Hi,
I am 18 years old and looking to use the money I have earned and saved to put into some sort of investment and am looking for advice.
I have just put 5k into an easy access cash isa 4.5% AER. More or less just to keep it in there while I don't know what to do with it and my current saving account has 1.75%.
I can put more money in this but I don't know if there is a better place to put my money into, for example a stocks and shares isa or any other suggestions, I'm open.
I am fortunate enough to also have some money given to me by my grandad from a stocks and shares isa, it had peaked very well pre COVID at around £38k if I remember correctly, dropped significantly after COVID and has had a slow rise with a decent amount of growth post Trumps victory as most of the portfolio is in American Stocks if I remember - Scottish Mortgage is the fund. Not sure what it is at atm, I'll guess just under or at £30,000.
Anyway, my grandad has had all that money in just the one fund, which is why its price has been so dynamic. I plan to diversify the pool a lot and invest in a different funds / ETF's, not sure yet but just spread the money.
I don't know when to do this though as I would like the value to keep rising in Scottish Mortgage to around what it used to be, but with current world circumstances, I'm unsure if this is the right move.
For reference about how much 'risk' I can afford; I plan to go to London next year for university and have no debt atm but of course student in London - I will be very poor, won't need access to a lot of the money but at least 3/4k for emergencies.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to Japan on Dec 30 and leaving mid January and I don't really know what to expect! I think I'm most comfortable getting directly everything directly from the Pokemon Center stores, and I have so many questions since I'm very new to collecting!
I'm wondering what sets they currently have there since I really like Wild Force and Triple Beat. Do I have to get to the stores early to secure packs/booster bundles? Will they restock their shelves every day? Will I even be able to get Terastal Festival at the official Pokemon Center stores by the time I get there? :(

I took 3 classes in community college in 2018 (I was still 17 and had some health issues) and averaged a 3.0 before I transferred out and eventually excelled academically. However, my second and final university doesn't offer letter grades (I do have great narrative evaluations) so the 3.0 is the only GPA adcomms will see, even if it's only from 3 classes that I took almost 7 years ago. My question is if I should address it at all on the application (in SOP or in the app when they ask about extenuating circumstances) or just ignore it at risk of drawing attention to it? Pls help!!

Sorry for the long winded post, but I need to get this all off my chest because it has been driving me nuts for a while.
I (21F) have been dating my (22M) bf for 9 months. We fell in love fast and moved in together just as quickly. For context, he travels for work and can live anywhere in our country while I am still in uni. When we first ment he quickly bought an apartment near campus sense I was in a dorm. Over the summer I got an internship with free housing and he moved in with me. This past fall I moved abroad for the year. This is a requirement for my major and I told him about this on the first date, he said we will make it work.
Right before I left I spent a week at home while he was at work. More context, I am from a small town, I only graduated with one other person in my class who I dated after covid. While I was home I went to a party at my best friend's house and she is dating my exist brother. I told my bf he might be there but there definitely was not feelings between use (we dated because we were board and drunk that summer and went back to hating eachother in the fall) and he seemed fine with it...he was not. Later that night he was screaming at me for hours about it and said he needed time to think.
When I left we kept trying to talk about it but I wasn't explaining things "to his standards". One night I explained it the exact way I had been and told him that it will never happen again while also reminding him of stuff he has done to me in the past (using drugs, talking to people on dating apps, ect). I thought we were finally out of the clear but I accidentally clicked on his email when I was trying to get into mine and I see a canceled tinder account. I called him to see what the deal was and he told me he cheated on me because of what I did but he didn't want to be without me so he was going to end his life. I told him we will work through this and I will try to find a way to forgive him.
After a month, we continue talking try to work things out. After a month or so I start getting calls throughout the night from him saying he is going to end his life because things will never be the same between us. I was crying and pleading with him ever night not to do it.
Over fall break he flies out to see me so we can travel together. During this he try to kill himself, once I had to pull him out of a window and another time he choked me until I was unconscious so he could go find somewhere to die. I woke up before he left.
When he gets back home he calmed down for a few days but soon after it's more late night phone calls, but now he is calling me a slut because I was sleeping with other men before we ment and I was using him because I had my fun and he was my "get out of jail free card". He would work up these narratives of things that were going to through my mind that weren't true and scream at me when I wasn't explaining myself correctly. He would tell me he was going to end his life and sometimes lead me on to believe he did if I didn't explain my past the way he wanted me to and tell him the truth.
My school has begun to notice how bad it is and has been trying to help me but all they have been doing is passing me from person to person because they don't know what to say.
I have talk to his parents and sister several times when I was concerned that he might have taken his life and they seem to have blown it off.
Last time he was treating to shoot himself and taunting me with it. He told me he took drugs then hung up the phone. I contacted his dad who said he was sleeping in bed and he was fine. I found out later that the dad found his gun next to his head and took it for the night but gave it back the next morning.
I don't know what to do anymore. I love him with all my heart but no matter what I saw or do, it isn't good enough for him and I am worried there is only one end to this and it will be my fault.
So AITA for my boyfriend taking his life? Would this be my fault if I left?

Rlcraft dregora is a complete disappointment for me. I thought it brought a lot of innovations to Rlcraft (at least that's what it looked like in the trailer), but I was wrong. Everywhere I go it's the same biomes (terablock mountains and that damn lava abyss) and there's a huge increase in the number of dragons and enemies riding on those weird flying mounts, and it just seems like a very "stiffy" difficult to me. My only goal is to build a base next to the village in the Plains biome, but it is extremely difficult to do that because there are the same biomes everywhere... Early game has become almost unplayable.
