Hey all,
I've a classic case of quality Vs size when it comes to my new TV choice.
The room itself is north facing, so direct sunlight isn't going to be an issue when it comes to needing the boost from the G4's MLA compared to the C4.
Checking distance calculators like rtings.com, I'd say I'm close on the boundary line between the two screen sizes.
Wall-to-wall, the room is 3.8m (12ft 5in) wide, and obviously the couch and TV are going to be inset from this, so viewing distance may be about 3m (10ft)
If given the choice at this distance, which would you go for? It's not planned for gaming, mainly TV/ movies.

 | For Thanksgiving 2024, I thought it was worth looking at the Lee-Romita era and how it connects to the superhero class struggle for love and better housing. The Lee-Romita and Early Conway era is unique for being the first time that you had Spider-Man interact with people from higher social classes than him, with him living it up in the Upper West Side in Harry's Pad, and having a girlfriend who's high society. But how does class actually get reflected in these stories, and what does it mean for Spider-Man's (once) brand identity as a working-class hero. https://elvingsmusings.wordpress.com/2024/11/29/re-examining-spider-man-11-class-relations/ Personally Compiled Collage - Top ASM#136 (Andru), ASM Annual#05 (Romita Sr), ASM#87 (Romita Sr). Bottom: SSM#200 (S.Buscema), ASM#139 (Andru), ASM#122 (Gil Kane) For as much as Spider-Man is described being a working-class superhero, class is rarely analyzed in these stories. On account of the demands of the genre, the mainstream superhero action-adventure, Peter Parker rarely expresses ‘class consciousness’ in any direct sense. This post looks at the Lee-Romita and the Early Gerry Conway runs (ASM#39-139), focusing on the subtext of the class background of the major status-quo setting of this period. Have to say that I researched the Lee-Romita era for work and ended up having a ton of fun. The entire L-R run has quite a few underheralded gems (some I talk in passing there). ASM#48 which includes the first time you had a Spider-Man fight in a major NYC landmark. In this case it's the George Washington Bridge, and yes, the other bridge story with Gwen Stacy is absolutely inspired by this early fight. Another great issue is ASM#65 - The Impossible Escape, one of the most fun issues in the run. Captain George Stacy's best showing as a supporting character, and an issue that looks forward to all stealth games. Does anyone have recommendations for content creators similar to Kate King?
Or even point me in the direction of some good content creators that are eccentric/old fashioned?
I am in love with Kate King's content, but since she has removed her YT videos and is no longer posting anything there's nothing else to watch. I also love Mihaela on tik tok- a girl who is also a little eccentric with an old soul who loves literature and dresses however the hell she wants- doesn't wear make-up, wears clothes that she likes, not what the "current trends" are, and genuinely has a love for reading, writing, literature in general, history etc. I love these types of content creators; both of them I came across on tik tok. they're real, authentic, and most importantly DGAF what people think or what the trends are. However, everytime I try to search for similar content it comes up with wannabes; i.e girls/women with 8 layers of makeup and a “1920s” dress giving book reviews in their beige, 2020s minimalistic “aesthetic” apartment. like Nooo that’s not what I’m looking for!!! The two aforementioned creators are old souls, a little eccentric, authentic, quirky, confident, but without trying and without creating a persona that they think the world wants to see! Both these influencers warm my heart and speak to my soul and I'm really desperate to find someone similar on tik tok/youtube, maybe even instagram? Tik tok is the preferred though. If anyone has any recommendations please tell me!! Thank you

2024.11.29 20:50 thethanatica what's with ableds being obsessed with cane violence?
I don't know if any cane users get a lot of ableds asking about using your cane to hit other people, but I sure do. It was funny at first, but now it's just annoying. It happens so often that basically have a script memorised explaining why my very light, hollow aluminium cane wouldn't be a good fit for a blunt weapon. It gets even worse when they touch or grab my cane without permission, too. Not to mention the considerable amount of people who ask if you have a hidden sword/daggewhip inside your cane (listen, I love bloodborne too. but it's irritating and repetitive)

Loved the episode generally, but I'm a bit confused about Andrealphus plan here. What exactly does convicting and killing Blitz accomplish?
Stolas would be sad, but in no way would that remove any power from him. I find it hard to believe that his master plan was for Stolas to randomly zap through the television just to see the trial and storm it in the last second, surely that can't be his plan? What would he have done if stolas hadn't seen it in time? Where was this going? Did I just missunderstand or miss something important here?

I miss getting up at the crack of dawn and watching the sun rise above the castle… we enjoyed getting up at 5am and being there at 6:30 😂.
It was nice to do that AND have the fast passes but then of course that went away. I understand those free fast passes won’t return, but could we at least get earlier hours?
And yes we are parents, getting up for Disney is worth it all for us 😅 even when we’ve been visiting for the last 5 years
