2024.11.29 21:00 Creative-Mind0309 Writing in the pov of a character I don't like
My book has 4 different characters with a pov, and mostly, it's been fine. But one of the characters I don't really like. I don't hate her, she's just not the type of character I love. I like characters that are sarcastic, cold, have grey morals or are just done with everyone. She's very sweet and helpful, believes the best out of everyone, and has a very strong "good" moral code.
The issue is that writing her bores me and it shows. My sister read over my chapter and told me that it didn't have enough of her thoughts and when I put some it sounded like a robot pretending to be human. I don't want to change her personality because she will be convinced that everything she does is good, or at least for the greater good because she's such a good person. It's a very important point in my story and won't work if she doesn't start off as a good person.
What can I do to write her better and without being super bored?

Hey everyone! I’m struggling with choosing between avere and essere as auxiliary verbs in the passato prossimo. Like, I know essere is for movement verbs (sono andato) and avere for actions (ho mangiato), but then there are exceptions, like restare or piacere.
Is there a trick to knowing which one to use, or do I just have to memorize all the exceptions? Also, how do I handle reflexive verbs with this? It’s making my head spin! 😵

 | I’ve found a bag that I absolutely love and am willing to spend and not-insignificant amount of money on. It checks almost all the boxes: it’s a color I love and don’t have yet, from a brand I adore, has a top handle and removable long strap so I can wear crossbody (my strong preference) or carry by the handle for dressier occasions. Literally the only issue is I’m 99% sure it won’t fit my iPhone and it feels so stupid to buy a bag that won’t fit the only thing I’d definitely be carrying no matter what. I love my giant iPhone and don’t see myself downsizing any time soon. Other info: I’m a mom so I almost always insist on having pockets on my clothes. If I were going out in clothes without pockets, I probably would be holding my phone or could have my husband or friends hold it.
