Hi! I'm really curious about how "long" one's breathing can be while playing the recorder (I don't mean, of course, "virtuosious" fast passages, just a smooth legato playing in the middle range). How long can experienced players (and professionals, but I do not even dare to dream about that level) play without taking a breath?..
For me, it depends on a type of recorder. On the sopranino (I almost never play it; it's the cheapest Yamaha with German fingering and a straight whistle (?) can't remember the term)) it's 20-21 seconds, but on the alto (which I play the most) everything longer than 10 seconds is quite challenging (the longest is 15 seconds). The soprano is in the sample here
I've added a sample not only for this question. I want to know whether my breath control and "straight" tone are good enough. I was thinking about posting at last some full performance (to get feedback on my skills), but Que ne suis-je la fougère sounds too simple without variations (I play it in the original key on the alto and the second repeat one octave higher, which is not easy, as in some great performance on a baroque flute I've heard)

Looking for something ~ $500 which is really starting to seem difficult for the decent cockpit. I will be running 8nm fanatec with load cell pedals.
I was pretty set on the GT Omega titan with an rs12 & monitor mount. This all came to $500 but had $300+ shipping…playseat trophy is on sale for $500 which isnt bad but the adjustability of that rig scares me incase I want to have friends try it out. Is the trophy that bad with adjustability?
I would love to go with an 80x20 but the good ones seem to all be out of price range. Is this a case of save up for longer or is there something else I should look at?
Looking for something solid I dont need to really move the rig much, and it will be in my office so the wife wont mind the looks.
I appreciate any advice or recommendations thank you!

 | Guys so I got this orchid as a gift a few months back and everything was fine it even started growing a new leaf then all of a sudden a few weeks ago a leaf fell. Then another. Then another. There was nothing visibly wrong at the surface and I didn’t want to bother the plant by taking it out of its pot to see the roots since I did that in late August/early September to repot it. Now a week or 2 ago I noticed that the base of the stem was turning black. Is there any way to stop this? Is it too late? I have a lot of narcissistic tendencies. I often seek validation from others using my academic success. I talk too much about myself and I'm very egotistical, which I suppose is amplified by my autism, but I belive it stem from a different set of influences.
I grow up as a typical "smart kid" I guess... I finished highschool when I was 15 and started studying mathematics at university when I was 16. Mathematics is my special interest.
I'm very self-centered, I don't have meaningful connections. I belive that narcissism is my defense mechanism for low self-esteem. I cope with my low self-worth with overcompensating by seeking admiration. I Build a grandiose self-image of myself to shield against feelings of inadequacy. I Deny or project insecurities onto others. I struggle with shame and feelings of worthlessness.
I have a strong humiliation and degradation fetish, which I guess is a way for me to transform the pain of shame into pleasure, which allows me to process emotions I otherwise suppress. since I construct a fragile and demanding self-image that requires constant maintenance. Submitting to humiliation provideds a psychological "release" from the exhausting need to uphold my persona.
I grew up in a difficult family situation with constant verbal abuse and no real parent figure.
