Hello Masons! Just like the title says, i’m wondering if being a freemason would be good for me. A little background: many of my ancestors were masons, and I still have living family members who are active masons. To keep it short- one side of my family is heavily involved.
Now, the only things I have really learned about the masons has been from being part of this subreddit and seeing what you guys have to say. I agree with basically everything freemasonry stands for, like being a better man, doing good for your community, etc. however, the problem is that i’m pretty left-leaning in the political sense. I don’t tolerate maga extremism, as I only see hatred, fear mongering, bigotry, and contradiction come from that side.
That being said, where does masonry fall under a political spectrum- if it even does so? I know that in Missouri (where my family resides), people are usually conservative or right-wing. Do these meetings or rituals tend to get political? Would I be accepted as a liberal, more progressive person? Is there any form of political indoctrination that they want you to follow? Does it just depend on the location of the lodge?
This matters to me because I do not want to be involved in anything that promotes hatred or bigotry against others, or exploits others for personal gain or masonic gain in our capitalist system.
If anyone could offer up their experiences or advice, either liberal or conservative, I would love to have some input! Thanks guys.

I got highlights and haircut from a salon, as soon as I came in the person coughed and said she just has a lingering cough from having covid last week for the third time. Started feeling bad last Wednesday and she got back to work this Tuesday. She wasn't wearing a mask so I put mine on and said I literally just got over a really bad cold or flu and just want to be careful to not get sick again right now. She actually didn't cough much during. Actually her coworker was coughing horribly and also not wearing a mask but that person was on the other side of the building. We didn't talk much either because I was so exhausted today partly from recently getting over my own thing and having bad anxiety with little sleep. I haven't been able to get my covid shot yet and haven't had it for years so don't think I have any immunity. I'm just nervous because whatever I had was bad enough and that wasn't even covid according to 2 at home tests.

I got my wisdom tooth removed and it feels like they stitched part of my cheek. It's been about 9 days of this. It's not even the sockets that hurt. It's difficult to brush my tongue cause it feels like my cheek is being pulled and it's very painful. I went back to the office for the to check and they said it was stitched normally but I'm worried that this will heal like this and I won't be able to open my mouth without this stretching-like pain. Has anyone else had this experience?

I’m seeing so much calling back to how this series has always pushed to be inclusive.
But not once have I seen anything about Shale. They were (one of) the first trans characters and they were a companion.
Shale being a golem doesn’t erase this. They are still fully sentient and complex as any other person. They still recognize what gender is and for them, it just doesn’t matter anymore.
They clearly state that they aren’t a woman anymore and that gender is now irrelevant to them.
They were the first non-binary companion.
(If there is a better term than non-binary for Shale, please let me know, this is just based on my knowledge of terms in the trans community)
