I got highlights and haircut from a salon, as soon as I came in the person coughed and said she just has a lingering cough from having covid last week for the third time. Started feeling bad last Wednesday and she got back to work this Tuesday. She wasn't wearing a mask so I put mine on and said I literally just got over a really bad cold or flu and just want to be careful to not get sick again right now. She actually didn't cough much during. Actually her coworker was coughing horribly and also not wearing a mask but that person was on the other side of the building. We didn't talk much either because I was so exhausted today partly from recently getting over my own thing and having bad anxiety with little sleep. I haven't been able to get my covid shot yet and haven't had it for years so don't think I have any immunity. I'm just nervous because whatever I had was bad enough and that wasn't even covid according to 2 at home tests.

2024.11.29 21:32 Betabutter Cheek pain 9 days after surgery
I got my wisdom tooth removed and it feels like they stitched part of my cheek. It's been about 9 days of this. It's not even the sockets that hurt. It's difficult to brush my tongue cause it feels like my cheek is being pulled and it's very painful. I went back to the office for the to check and they said it was stitched normally but I'm worried that this will heal like this and I won't be able to open my mouth without this stretching-like pain. Has anyone else had this experience?

I’m seeing so much calling back to how this series has always pushed to be inclusive.
But not once have I seen anything about Shale. They were (one of) the first trans characters and they were a companion.
Shale being a golem doesn’t erase this. They are still fully sentient and complex as any other person. They still recognize what gender is and for them, it just doesn’t matter anymore.
They clearly state that they aren’t a woman anymore and that gender is now irrelevant to them.
They were the first non-binary companion.
(If there is a better term than non-binary for Shale, please let me know, this is just based on my knowledge of terms in the trans community)

My account was disabled, when I try to log in it tells me my phone number and email are both unrecognized even though I’ve had the same account email and phone number for over a decade. Being that nothings recognized I can’t appeal the disabling or find any way to contact support of any type.

As they talked, Marie saw a homeless woman begging for a few coins. She immediately dropped a bill into her outstretched hand. The woman's eyes widened, and she immediately scrambled up, thanked Marie profusely, and hurried away.
Sighing, Marie turned back to her work. She talked to her newfound friends about homelessness. Many of them admitted that they had trouble paying rent on time.
Almost 25% of people living in Calgary are not sheltered from the unforgiving torrent of nature. Too many people are or are close to homelessness.
Marie took a mental note of this to talk to her party about housing in Calgary. She would not let her people live on the streets, even if it meant that she had to pay for them out of her own paycheck.
Another person joined Marie to plant trees. She recognized the woman from earlier, the one who she had given money to. Tears came to her eyes; Marie was touched that even those with nothing decided to help her give others something.
At the end of the day, as the sun went down, Marie thanked each and every one of her helpers. All of them muddy and sweaty, they each went to their own residence. After Marie drove Sophie, the homeless woman, to a homeless shelter 20 minutes away, she too went home to take a shower and prepare for another day.
