I'm keen to get hold of actual MBB presentation for for-profit companies, such as BCG's strategic review of Dell when it was on the cusp of an acquisition. The document ultimately found its way to public through the SEC documents.
I'm wondering if anyone else knows similar style documents (e.g. for-profit companies)? I know there are plenty of presentations done by MBB made public (but they are generally for non-profit, governments etc).
Granted, for-profits generally wouldn't published materials (the Denali one was an exception through SEC filings) - but curious to find out if anyone has other recommendations?

I have used regular steel barbells the whole time and Iâd like to upgrade to titanium posts with flat disc ends (the ones that are thicker than traditional flat backs? Iâve seen them called like five different things) but Iâm having a hard time finding specifically 10g appx 7/8â barbells with that specific end typeâ any recommendations? I love this pen but I am beyond frustrated. I bought what I thought was the exact same cartridges to refill it, and they donât work. I tried other cartridges I have. I tried all three empty converters I currently have, and none work. The only local pen store to me doesnât sell converters, otherwise Iâd go in and try until I found the right one. I canât find US sellers that sell the Diplomat brand converter. I will buy the Diplomat brand cartridges if I have to, but for the love of god, is anyone using one and can link me to the exact cartridge and/or converter you use?!!!
This is one of my favorite pens as a lefty so I am not looking for âbuy this other pen insteadâ recommendations right now.
Thank you in advance and special bonus points if I can buy from a small business instead of giant river store!

2024.11.29 22:32 nickybecooler Planning DJ set for a company Christmas party - how would you approach?
A friend of a friend hired me to play his company's holiday party next week. I wouldn't say it's a typical "corporate" event. It's a tech startup, 50 employees, ages 25-55 and at least a handful of them regularly attend house and techno festivals. The party is not a formal dinner or anything like that, more of a cocktail bar with a DJ vibe.
I tried to set up a meeting with the guy who hired me to discuss the music that they are expecting me to play. He said there's no need. "Whatever you play will be good". This guy has seen me DJ once, it was my very first gig, but I didn't make any mistakes and played very well. I played a sort of upbeat hybrid disco/electronic set.
I'm not an open format DJ, no laptop DJ, I will only have what's on my USB, so very limited ability to play requests.
Given the scenario - how would you approach planning this set?
"Whatever you play will be good" is a dangerous thing to say to me, because if I am free to do literally whatever I want, it will be all 70s and 80s. To be safe, I downloaded some popular electronic tunes (Duke Dumont, Disclosure, RĂFĂS, Flume, Purple Disco Machine, etc), some newish Beatport charty stuff (Jamie xx, Adam Port, Pawsa), overplayed tech house bangers (Fisher, Chris Lake) and UKG-ish stuff (Sammy Virgi, Fred Again). No rap, no top 40 pop, no Christmas music.
I was thinking I could start out playing 100% my style and keep going until someone suggests otherwise. Good or bad idea? Or should I plan to transition into commercial dance music as the night goes on? If I can get away with NOT playing Fisher, I'd prefer that lol

1.1 billion dollars for saying the sandy hook shootings were staged. Of course you should never say things like that, but hasn't everyone said stupid things before? You can argue that his words led his followers to harass the families of the tragedy, and you'd be right.
I'd understand any sentencing under 100 million, but 1 billion dollars is insane. If he gave 10,000 dollars a day, I'd take him 274 years to pay off his debt. His net worth was only about 14 million so it's not a proportional amount.. It just makes me think that the verdict was personal in some way

I think the vocabulary of the SCP universe makes it possible to talk about political ideas with a unique perspective.
For instance, from a conservative perspective, the existence of gays is threatening. Conservatives spend money and energy fighting to keep certain ideas out of schools because they believe a child simply knowing of queerness is likelier to become queer themselves.
Conversely, the often repeated phrase âcrush the patriarchyâ alludes to a revolutionary war against an idea. The patriarchy as an idea is so potent and omnipresent that it justifies itself as "normal." A queer person might imagine many similarities between their lives and living in the world of SCP-3125.
Anyway, I think that horror naturally lends itself to thoughtful analogies about real world problems, and the SCP universe uniquely lends itself to discussions of queerness. Iâm interested if anyone else finds SCP ideas compelling for the same reasons, or if anyoneâs noticed other real world analogs for memetic infohazards.

Not a gameplay related question, just a general one (I guess).
Okay so we know that the blood can heal wounds and help with diseases, but does it also fix broken bones? Like if I go into a clinic with a completely fucked leg, would taking the blood heal it up so I can walk around normally again, or does it only work on shit like flesh wounds and diseases? I have no clue how this works and am very stupid when it comes to lore, which is why I'm asking this.
