I've made a small loop antenna for medium-wave radio reception (wooden frame, 15 loops, rectangle around 1x1 meters) and I am looking for a useful tuning capacitor, I need about 400-500 pF. I am thinking about using a tuning dial from a boombox I have. It's a Phillips AQ 4030/01, seems like a 90s low-end boombox, it has MW/FM radio and a mono tape deck. It works only partially, speaker and tape playback doesn't work well but the tuner is working. Could you tell me if the tuning dial from this boombox should be used for that antenna as a tuning capacitor? I don't wanna put energy into something that technically shouldn't work.

I recently went to visit my sister in Ca for my nieces birthday. It was specifically for my niece and she had asked if I could stay at her house without leaving a day or two to spend the night at my dads like I always do when I visit CA.
My dad knew the plan but I still wanted to go see him at the very least. I didn’t have a car and he wouldn’t come pick me up because my mom was at my sisters as well and they don’t speak whatsoever, they haven’t since their divorce 6 years ago.
I had the best week, it was exactly what I needed after not seeing them for a while but when I got back home and tried to call my dad or message him I realized he had blocked me. I don’t know why and can’t even come up with an excuse for him..
I tried contacting my brother for a ride to see my dad as well and he didn’t respond either. I was supposed to pay for a flight for my dad to come visit me for the first time this week and I can’t contact him to make a plan.
I’m devastated, my dad and I have built up our relationship for the past 2 years and for him to just ghost me like this?! I don’t get it. I’m so hurt and I don’t know what to do

Hi,
I'm probably gonna get laughed at by y'all here but I wanna talk to someone and get some advice anyway. 3 months ago I met this girl who then worked at a local pub. Since I went there quite often I had a chance to talk to her a lot and finally I decided to ask her for a walk. No date but I just wanted to get to know her better. We met and had a great walk. Later we started to meet every now and then and every time we met it was really great. The conversations were great, the sense of humour, etc. She also told me that she had enjoyed every meetings etc.
She's a really nice girl so after a few casual meeting, she invited me to her home. We were watching a film, talking and stuff and at one moment I tried to get closer to her and kiss her. She kinda refused and told me that she really likes me but she didn't think about me in that way. It kinda hurt since we really had had great moments (even thought they weren't erotic). We simply had a REALLY great vibe but since she wasn't interested I decided to ease up on her. After a few days, I texted her to see what's up with her and we met again. During the meeting we decided to just be friend since I really liked her and didn't want to lose touch with her just like that.
We started to see each other every now and then and during one walk she told me it's cold and we can go to my house since we were close. I agreed. When we came to my house we had a casual conversation and suddenly she asked me how I see our relation and I told her that I really liked her and that she knows what I feel. She nodded and a few moments later we began to kiss. We were really passionate about it. The kissing turned into touching and stuff and when I wanted to take off her trousers she told me that she was a virgin and she's nervous. We petted but after it, she told me she didn't know how to feel about it as she had never done anything like that before. I walked her home assuring her nothing bad happened.
We met for another two days and we kissed and petted but then she told me that she still doesn't think of us as a couple and it's better to not to talk to each other for a while. I don't know what to think as she's not "easy type" of girl (I guess?) and she told me she really enjoyed the kissing, meeting etc but she ain't sure and she doesn't want to force herself.
I know it's a long story but should I try and date her or it doesn't make sense and I should let her go? Y'all gonna find it funny but I really liked her and I wouldn't want to lose her.

How do you organise your King collection? I own books from many other authors with multiple books so I organise by author alphabetically, and then by order of release for that particular author.
It’s confusing with King because he has a run of standalone books and then we hit the first Dark Tower book, following by more standalone and then another Dark Tower entry. How do you organise that?

 | My friend just bought an Arcturus MK-I 10.5” CQB, and they asked me to help them convert the rifle for an integrated suppressor look. I saw a video on the Arcturus MK-I LWT and noticed it has a detachable outer barrel. There’s a similar line on the outer barrel of this model that somewhat matches that of the other model.
