I’ve been fortunate that I have only met a handful of these monsters in my lifetime but I have had the unfortunate pleasure of dating one of them now for going on 5 years. Can I just say that these people are hard, almost impossible to tolerate at times because they make me want to just grab them and shake the crap out of them!? Does anyone else have this same unfortunate feeling when dealing with the way they bait you in arguments and antagonize the hell out of you just so they can either have the last word or push your buttons til you explode or break. These mood shifts seem to come out of nowhere too. We will be getting along fine and out of nowhere he turns into this sarcastic, condescending jerk that sounds totally fake by way of tone and inflection and the facial expressions he makes make me want to throat punch him. I’m sure I am in no way easy to deal with at times but I have a heart, conscience, soul, and most importantly empathy so it seems like that puts me eons ahead of him because he seems like an empty shell of a person whom takes pleasure in hurting me and just all around destroying my hopes and dreams. He also has this friend who’s a Satanist and into voodoo as well (or so he says but this seems like a strange combo if you ask me), who I think is a major influence on these “mood shifts”. Every time he talks to this friend or is physically around him he is worse to me than he ever has been. Seems like the friend is acting like a jealous girlfriend rather than his male best friend and it’s put a terrible taste in my mouth for this kind of personality trait. I honestly feel like if I had dated someone like this years ago I think I would have given up on dating all together. I am feeling hopeless and trapped as he won’t let me dump him either, which I know sounds insane but that’s the truth. Just looking for some advice or a listening ear. No bad comments or bullying please. If you don’t have anything nice to say keep it to yourself . Thanks for your time and sorry about the long post.

2024.11.29 22:35 FlyMTTMoon Struggling to get VM working on Arch
Hey there!
I have been struggling for few days to make QEMU vm work for win10 virtual gaming machine.
So far I have tried the wiki and dozens of forum posts here and other places and nothing works or provides good explanation and step by step guide to fix this.
Backstory - After struggling for a while, today the vm worked, I managed to install windows 10, and even pass through the nvidia gpu to it. In the beginning I had installed qemu full, and all the dependencies, I followed the wiki instructions to create groups and add myself, installing virt manager etc.
I tried to setup bridged network which failed, it deleted my current network and nothing worked, had to revert the changes so I gave up on giving the vm network access. Then I wanted to make a shared folder but that also failed because there isn't any way to do this. I mounted the vm image to maybe try to copy files directly to it but it never appeared anywhere even though it says it's mounted. Unmounting commands didn't do anything. I decided to restart the system and after the restart QEMU won't connect to virtmanager JUST LIKE THE DAYS BEFORE that I was struggling to make it even start. Now I'm back to square one as if I did nothing and I had no idea why it even worked in the first place, I haven't changed anything in the system.
Why is this process so convoluted and there aren't any normal step by step guides to make this work?
Posting below the errors maybe someone can help actually make this work.

Friend is a DDS from another country now living in United States. She and I are both frustrated with the amount of legwork and immense cost to take that DDS and then get certified here. (Equivalency)
She is considering instead doing an online MPH and working in this field. I have some questions:
- Is A GRE needed to apply? How about Toefl?
- Is it very hard to get into a top 5 school for masters? I did the law school route and it is very hard to get into a law school. She has about a 3.89 Gpa from her DDS.
- What kind of jobs could she get? Is the job field oversaturated?
- Do they offer scholarships? Forgive my ignorance but when you apply to law school, sometimes they throw you money to go there do your stats are good. They usually offer it at the time of offering acceptance.

When I wake up in the morning, my skin is perfect : it's smooth and moisturized (not only, more glass like) and you can almost not see my a.c.n.e (I can't use the word otherwise my post will be blocked). As soon as I cleanse it, it become red (it doesn't hurt or sting).
The redness steps after a bit, like 2 hours or so, and my skin guess backup to being smooth and not irritated. When I cleanse before going to be, my face renddens up just like in the morning.

I’m curious.. was your newborns sleep in those first couple of months any indication of what their sleep would be like later on? Currently have an almost 7 week old who doesn’t do any longer than 3 hours and that’s if we’re lucky. Most nights it’s around 2 hours, sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more.
If you had a baby who didn’t sleep great as a newborn, did they eventually start sleeping better or were they always more “difficult”?
I know every baby is different but just looking for others experiences.
