I lost my job several months ago but was able to stay on my employers' insurance via Cobra (paying around $1k per month). I lose coverage in one month.
If I'm paying out of pocket anyway, is there a reason I can't stay on Cobra? I haven't been given an option to extend it—or is that something I call to do on my own?
I'm also going to be looking for ACA options, if anyone has recs. I'm based in NY State, and I have a chronic health issue that needs decent insurance.

Hallo zusammen, mich würde mal eure Meinung interessiert, zu einem Vorfall, der vor ein paar Stunden am Flughafen Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden passiert ist. Beim Flug aus Mallorca standen am Gateausgang zwei Bundespolizisten, die die Ausweise sehen wollten. Ich bin kurz stehen geblieben, um nach meinem Portmonnaie zu suchen, und bemerkte dass sie manche Leute durchgewunken haben und manche nicht. Ich ging näher hin und fragte, ob sie meinen Ausweis sehen wollen. Sie bejahten und fragten kurz drauf nach meinem Namen? Mein Name klingt relativ deutsch (habe russische Wurzeln) und er winkte mich durch. Was ich mich frage ist, wie er reagiert hätte, wenn mein Name zB Ali Mohammad wäre? Ich habe ein sehr starkes Gefühl, dass ich dann nicht durchgewunken wäre… Oder aufgrund welcher Tatsache werden Menschen nach ihrem Namen sortiert????

Hello, I'm somewhat new to game developing (I've developed before but already using existing tools/games, more akin to modding, never from scratch), I'm not new to programming but I'm also not a pro (about two years of college education so far and about 4-5ish years of early level programming experience).
I don't know much about engines beyond their basic use cases, for example, for a normal raw VN renpy would be best. But for this game it should be about 65%ish visual novel and 35%ish card game/deck builder.
I'm mainly looking for this:
- Existing templates/libraries/resources/tools/whatever that could help me get this project started, for example, an existing basic template for a card game, an existing template/tools for visual novels, etc.
- Running smoothly and lightweightish, ideally that it can run on phones.
- Possibility of adding animations to the "visual novel" aspect (not a deal breaker)
- Ease of use, how "easy" it could be for a somewhat newer developer to get started with it. (not a deal breaker)

Right so I have had this PC a while and I'm totally running it wrong. I bought the original computer off my brother and upgraded from a 2060 OC Super to a 4080 Suprim X. I also upgraded the PSU and RAM.
However I am well aware my motherboard and CPU are way out of date. I wasn't too concerned because the PCI Express speeds didn't seem to have a major drawback on the GPU as such... idk the research I did said something like PCIe 4.0x wasn't all that slower than PCIe 3.0x, like I'd lose 2% in terms of perfomance overall.
Anyway whether all that is right or not, I have had no issue gaming on the highest settings for most games, even Stalker 2 is all on Epic and it runs great.
I think to make this PC complete now and finish it off, I need a new mobo and CPU. Here's the full specs.
Asus ROG STRIX 390-I GAMING (Motherboard) Intel Core i9-9900k MSI 4080 Suprim X 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 3600 Mhz BE QUIET Straight Power 11 Modular ATX PSU - 850W
I already have the Corsair 7000D Airflow case so there's shite loads of room in here, probably the best thing I can do is get a normal sized motherboard and a new CPU but idk what CPU or cooler either. I don't want to bankrupt myself, I just want to get a few components up to date.
