I'm so frustrated with myself. We've been no contact for almost 2 years, not even my choice, he had just started dating a woman that didn't like him talking to other women, so he blocked me on everything.
She eventually cheated on him (again) and he left her and reached out to me, saying he was sorry for everything, that he stays up at night thinking about the pain he's put me through, that he misses me and thinks of me all the time. For a little context, we've known each other since we were kids, I was a couple years older and he had a super rough home life and I took care of him in a lot of ways, to the point where he's said for years that I raised him more than his mom did. He thanked me for giving him a great childhood and for trying to help him become a better man. We tried dating a couple of times purely by his manipulation - like he said, I practically raised him and I always saw him as a little brother, but when someone says they will kill themselves if you don't date them, I didn't feel I had a choice, and for whatever reason just letting him go wasn't an option for me - never has been. I hate how drawn I am to him.
Each time we tried ended in him leaving me for another girl, which broke my self esteem even if I knew we weren't meant to be. I've finally settled on never talking to him again, that he's a part of my past and it's time to enter the future. I've been in a lot of therapy and am medicated for a variety of things.
Then he called. And we talked for 9 hours. I didn't even realize how much time had passed. When I finally hung up to go to bed, I wanted to cry seeing that number there. I feel like I messed up again.
And it's not like he's changed, I can tell he's the same. He's hypersexual, couldn't stop talking about girls for a second, talking about boobs and asses, how much he misses having sex, talking about contemplating paying for it. We talked about what we were looking for in a partner since we were both single, and his requirement was sex multiple times a day. That's all the same.
He flirted with me. Since we haven't talked, I battled addiction and was involved with some bad people. I told him I had sold some nude photos online at one point to get money for drugs (which was half true, I was actually camming and escorting, it was a bit more extreme) and he asked for my cash app - I said no. He told me since he was a kid he had a bucket list of people he's wanted to have sex with and I was always on that list. I tried to play it off like oh yeah I bet that list is a mile long and he said no it's only a few people. He told me straight up "if I hadn't screwed things up like I did we'd be married by now".
My friends are all calling me an idiot, asking what's wrong with me. I just feel awful, I wish I wasn't so fn lonely that I put up with this again and again.

 | So here we are: I should’ve checked that everything would add up but I trusted a build I saw without looking into the specific 6800. I was a fool and you all let me know. But this temporary fix is very cursed and you may contend with how much I hate this but I seriously doubt it. As for the people who said “how can you afford a graphics card without checking the dimensions” I affirmed this card because I didn’t yet have the money and will be looking into returning it. The gpu is held into place with an oddly placed screw so I can test it without it falling off. This probably doesn’t even count as sff at this point.
