I listened to the episode with Hasan. It was the first time I paid attention to something over 2 hours long that didn’t have Tom Cruise in it. Hasan speaks the truth which is that America is 50 corporations in a trench coat and we need socialized housing. And the Dems need to go as far to the left as the right has gone to the right. We can do populism on the left too (one that actually works and is not based on racist fear) but Dems are too afraid to go there because of our country’s nonsense trauma about “communism.”
“We’re not going back.” All we did was go back and try to rebuild a 2008 coalition that doesn’t exist anymore. Trump speaks to people’s anxieties and that works. Dems are trying to be everything to everyone: “We love clean energy but also frakking. We’re just as tough on the border as Trump!” The entire world right now is “fuck off I’ll do whatever I want.” Israel is done with two-state solution, they’re like Palestine shouldn’t exist. Same with Russia, same with China, same with the UK. We can’t win by trying to be centrist and neutral on everything.
Also, Jon treated Hasan badly in that interview. He treated him like he was an uneducated himbo streamer, arguing with him on pedantic points. How is he that different from you? Jon is a standup comic who married rich and then became a podcaster. How are you better than him?
As someone tweeted recently, LBJ would’ve said, “Pass the tranny bill, they deserve rights too.” We have had and can have a Trump on the left too. Someone bombastic who is unyielding on civil rights and upward mobility and social programs. But we’re too scared.

 | I received some great feedback from the community here about gluing terrain together or not. In the end, I decided to go with the State Of Play method. After gluing some of the walls in the configurations he recommended I'm left with these vents and caps. Does anyone glue these on their walls? They all stick out too far and do not allow another wall to fit up against the wall the vent is glued to. TLDR: my traumatized, neutered cat has started charging at my roommate’s curious spayed cat.
Hi! Long time lurker here. I’m dealing with cat aggression and I need insight from cat fans. I live in a large, 3-story townhouse with 3 roommates.
Some Ichabod background: I adopted my cat Ichabod (~1M) at the beginning of September. I adopted him from a shelter, the rescue told me Ichabod and his litter were rescued from a hoarding situation. A few of Ichabod’s litter mates were “too unsocialized” to live in human homes. Ichabod was neutered while living at his foster with his sister.
The other cat background: Moni (5F) was neutered years back and has lived in our house her whole life. She has lived with two other cats (one male and one female), with no other issues. … for a while, Moni would hiss if me or her owner touched Ichabod then tried to pet her.
The issue: Ichabod has not yet left my room since I adopted him 3 months ago. After living with the bedroom door shut for 2 months, I started to leave my bedroom door open all day last month. Moni sometimes eats his food and poops in his litterbox. I placed pheromone dispensers in my bedroom and the hallway outside my bedroom door. Things seemed to get better as Ichabod calmed down and Moni became more curious about him. Moni comes into my bedroom to nap while I’m not home. However Ichabod has started to charge at Moni. Moni has been very neutral/curious about him since there was the initial bouts of hissing from her when they initially met. In other words, it seems like her presence is more upsetting to him than any potential aggressive behavior on her part
In the past, my roommates and I fed Ichabod and Moni treats while close to each other with no issue a few times, and it seemed like their relationship was positive. I think I’m too dense to figure out what Ichabod is telling me.
