Here in Taiwan, the native speakers of Chinese usually say See you next time for what literally translates to "again see" (再見) (zai jian). The vagueness of "next time" makes it almost work for me. My vet has been trying to get me to schedule a dental cleaning for my cat. There’s nothing wrong with her teeth currently, but I guess it would be for preventative care. My only reservation is she has to go under anesthesia for the cleaning and it just seems like a lot to put my cat through. Are dental cleanings really necessary? (Pics including to cover cat tax 🫡)

The title says it. I constantly find myself resenting type 2 diabetics for simply existing. I know this is irrational but I am find myself complaining about type 2 diabetics. The price of insulin, the constant “oh you have diabetes you know if you do xxxx it’ll cure it?!” “Have you tried xxxx drug, it’s really good for diabetics” like no MF I have an autoimmune DISEASE not a complication from obesity and lack of exercise. It is draining that like 5% of diabetics have Type 1 so the VAST majority of products market toward diabetics are for Type 2s. Why does it have to be called Diabetes if it’s underlying causes are completely different? I know there are “positives” to this, for instance with so many type 2s technology for CGMs and Pumps are in high demand and constantly improving but I hate the conflation between the 2. I did nothing to deserve this disease. This is not a result of my lifestyle, It was given by God. Sorry for whining just have a heavy heart.

I don't think I'm ready I took Peanut out to the backyard trying to get her acclimated like I normally do. She normally jumps right back on me. This time she wobbly took off on the fence. By the time I could get the gate open she was in my neighbor's backyard up her palm tree. She won't come down. She goes from palm tree to that twiggy tree. She has fallen twice and both times crawled back up the palm tree. I'm so scared for her. If it was during the day I can watch how she navigates but it's dark idk if she is ready for the suburbs. Any suggestions?
