Here's the gist: I've been dating this guy who I love so much. When I met him he was about six months sober. He has an interlock system on his car, had two DUI's, and was incredibly up front about the fact that he was a recovering alcoholic. He talked greatly about it and about how he never wanted to go back. I feel him, I really do. My dad is currently on his deathbed due to alcoholism, and it's always a very difficult conversation to me because I know what it feels like to be hurt by someone you love who isn't meaning to hurt you. And I had my own battle with addiction, specifically ecstacy, which I haven't touched for four years. And I smoke weed, so I don't want to be coming from a hypocritical place. But a week after my boyfriend hit his one year sobriety mark, this Thanksgiving, he was fighting his mental battle more than usual and he gave in. And this was the first time I'd ever seen him drunk, and this sweet, loving, caring guy who'd never harm a soul turned into this slurring asshole mess of a human that hurts everyone he's around. He started calling his parents at 2 in the morning to blame them for causing his problems and to let them know how fucked he was. He spent all night not respecting my boundaries, specifically he called my dad to talk (whom he's never met before, btw) because he felt like he wanted to relate. But I specifically asked him not to do this in the past. He knew very clearly it was a boundary of mine. Anyways, long story short. You guys would know better than anyone about an alcoholic's perspective. Should I stay? I told him I cannot talk to him unless he is sober and I'd love to love him through this, but it's so hard. I want to reach out to him or answer his calls but I know he's drunk and it's just going to hurt. What should I do?

good evening. it's getting late and cold here so I thought I would try my luck again on posting. All my previous attempts have withered away after a few days, so I am looking for someone who wants something long term!
so about me? I am 26, living in the UK but hopeful to move one day. I work for a very popular company that I cannot say the name of, but you'll have heard of them before. I am an avid reader, my bookcase is full of books i've yet to read and a lot of have read and cannot come to terms with giving away. If I am not reading I will likely be sat under a blanket somewhere in my house playing video games. As with most people on Reddit, I am indeed a huge nerd. I love to code & paint too!
As for other things I like to do:
- Stumble into things, I am very clumsy. Drink an ungodly amount of coffee, listen to music far too loud on my headphones, order too much food for myself and regret it later, pretend like I understand politics, suck at boardgames and sing karaoke.
happy to swap photos or voice calls etc. just don't be super weird or uninterested in talking.

I'm having trouble finding a power only (or otherwise only usb connections, not a docking station) usb c splitter.
So in my car my ac adapter's plugs are all populated, but i have a couple low power usb-c devices that could be consolidated if only there was a device that could take multiple usb c male connections (so device has female) and charge them using another usb-c male connection. A cheap docking station could work, but I'd prefer not wasting space or money on useless features like rj45 or hdmi. I can't even find a plain usb c to c hub.

So I just finished school this year. 19. And my Partner 17 went to the same school as me. I have gone into sports coaching and have been deployed at my old school for work at the after school club and will have a day working at the school later this year.

Hi everyone, I am planning to apply for Austria business visa for a trip during 7-16 February 2025. It is incredibly hard to book an appointment though. Everyday I check the slot and it is always unavailable. I don't even know when the next available slot is.
I searched online and it suggested VisaBot and Visard Bot, which could notify available slots or even book the appointment for you. I wonder if anyone here has tried them and got good results. Also can anyone tell me what time in a day I should check the slot please?

Title is self explanatory; Working Designs was one of the few American publishers that actively published JRPGs outside of Japan and distributed a number of classics like the Lunar series. However they would do stuff like tweaking encounter rates, item drops or boosting enemy stats to absurd degrees that the game balance would be thrown out of whack.
I can't imagine it's just because of game rentals since they mostly worked on JRPGs and most games would need to be played in a couple of sessions.

I was casually waiting for the bus recently, minding my own business, when a big dude wearing a ski mask and carrying a pistol on his leg rushed towards me to stand under the bus shelter where I was standing.
I saw him coming and instinctively moved out the way,and assumed trouble, but there was none. Would you have reacted the same way? Or have remained calm?

It’s night and I have my gliders in my room. They were playing in a drawer ( it’s safe there’s nothing that could hurt them ) when suddenly one of them started barking. It was a very quick barking and I panicked thinking he could have got hurt. The thing is, how? Why? I’ve read that if it’s a quick agitated bark it means they got scared and want to alert the other gliders, but I can’t understand why. I managed to grab him for a second and he was SO agitated. I couldn’t check him properly and for now I’m giving him time to calm down. I think I saw his side neck’s fur being lined so maybe he got stuck with his head? ( I think he just panicked because I checked that drawer and there’s no possible way they could get stuck ). Suggestions??
