This season has been an unmitigated disaster for Florida State. The Seminoles are about to finish 2-10, landing in last place in the very conference they claim to be too good for. A significant portion of their recruiting class has decommitted, and if Mike Norvell endures another season like this, his tenure is likely over, adding yet another buyout to FSU’s financial burdens.
The future looks bleak for the Seminoles. While they remain one of the more valuable programs in college football, their current trajectory raises serious doubts about their appeal to the SEC or Big Ten. The SEC likely won’t be interested in a struggling program, and the Big Ten, wanting schools to be AAU members, makes the Big Ten seem like an even less likely destination.
The Big 12 would probably be willing to take FSU, but considering the current state of that conference, it wouldn’t represent much of an upgrade over the ACC. The Big 12’s media deal is comparable to the ACC’s, and with SMU emerging as a potentially valuable addition to the ACC, the argument could be made that FSU’s disastrous season might ironically help stabilize the very conference they’ve been so eager to leave. So it begs the question, is FSU stuck in the ACC for the foreseeable future?

First home buyer here, with a bit of a handy streak.
Recently I've been looking at properties that need a bit of work, but I'm finding that more often than not, the owner expects top dollar.
How on earth do you price such properties?
One example I've seen recently.. needs new roofs/gutters/wall repairs & the carpet had just been pulled up (badly) leaving unfinished floors. The vendor appears to expect 20k below the price of nearby properties that have sold FULLY RENOVATED. It's had two sales with B+Ps fall through. It's been on the market 50 days.
Today a property that needs new paint and a new bathroom that's comparable in every other way to that property was listed $100k lower..
Another that I'm looking at today is an original 1970s build, looks like the parents have just moved out. I estimate it'd be worth ~$850k with a basic renovation, but to get that it needs a lot of work (full interior update)
If something will cost $50k to bring to standards, do you offer 50k less? 75k? Because the work needs doing?
Ultimately everything is only worth what someone will pay, and emotional attachment is worth a lot of $$s, but as someone who is a tight arse (and that's why i can afford said properties..) how do you approach these?!
Do you simply accept that the price is what's listed, what the seller wants, and that ultimately the capital gains will make up for it?
Do you consider that if you have a sizable deposit that your interest costs are going to be lower?
Do you consider that if the alternative is renting, that you're better off paying the extra year of rent in the house price? Ie. $20k rent, so $20k "overpriced" cones out in the wash.
Do you say screw it all and buy the place that's fully renovated (often badly..) instead?

Here's the gist: I've been dating this guy who I love so much. When I met him he was about six months sober. He has an interlock system on his car, had two DUI's, and was incredibly up front about the fact that he was a recovering alcoholic. He talked greatly about it and about how he never wanted to go back. I feel him, I really do. My dad is currently on his deathbed due to alcoholism, and it's always a very difficult conversation to me because I know what it feels like to be hurt by someone you love who isn't meaning to hurt you. And I had my own battle with addiction, specifically ecstacy, which I haven't touched for four years. And I smoke weed, so I don't want to be coming from a hypocritical place. But a week after my boyfriend hit his one year sobriety mark, this Thanksgiving, he was fighting his mental battle more than usual and he gave in. And this was the first time I'd ever seen him drunk, and this sweet, loving, caring guy who'd never harm a soul turned into this slurring asshole mess of a human that hurts everyone he's around. He started calling his parents at 2 in the morning to blame them for causing his problems and to let them know how fucked he was. He spent all night not respecting my boundaries, specifically he called my dad to talk (whom he's never met before, btw) because he felt like he wanted to relate. But I specifically asked him not to do this in the past. He knew very clearly it was a boundary of mine. Anyways, long story short. You guys would know better than anyone about an alcoholic's perspective. Should I stay? I told him I cannot talk to him unless he is sober and I'd love to love him through this, but it's so hard. I want to reach out to him or answer his calls but I know he's drunk and it's just going to hurt. What should I do?

I'm having trouble finding a power only (or otherwise only usb connections, not a docking station) usb c splitter.
So in my car my ac adapter's plugs are all populated, but i have a couple low power usb-c devices that could be consolidated if only there was a device that could take multiple usb c male connections (so device has female) and charge them using another usb-c male connection. A cheap docking station could work, but I'd prefer not wasting space or money on useless features like rj45 or hdmi. I can't even find a plain usb c to c hub.
