When I was barely 17, I got into a relationship for the first time and I threw everything into the relationship. I loved her immensely. After the breakup, it went from missing her daily, to weekly, to monthly, to varying amounts of months. The problem was, I didn't get over her until like after 7+ years.
It was a very emotionally charged relationship and toxic. I even went on to have other relationships, which was fine. But everytime I was single and felt lonely, I would miss that first person (I don't do that anymore because I've gotten over her).
I don't know why this was the case. At first I started to think it was because the more toxic and emotionally charged relationships are just more memorable than the ones that weren't. Which is probably true. But I think also it was because I felt my needs were being met (which is not true because it was toxic, but for some reason it feels that way).
Recently, I have gotten into a relationship that gave me the same feelings as my first relationship. She has ASPD. There's a toxicity of not being treated the way you want... and yet you miss this person like hell. I miss them everyday and cry. When we started going out, I considered them "the love of my life." And I don't know why I would ascribe this to them compared to anybody else.
I had just chalked it up to "yeah I'm a guy, but I'm probably no different from those girls that only seek bad boys. that's probably what's going on." But then I watched this video that challenged that notion. Now I don't know what to think anymore. Why does my heart believe she is so special then, when her qualities are assertiveness, bluntness, and not thinking before she speaks?
It sucks that I feel like I lost the love of my life. Even if you pointed out the bad, I'd point out the good. Even though this relationship wasn't meant to work, I still tell myself I don't want to get over her.

Is there a faster process to obtain a debit card. I recently joined RBFCU and I have never received a debit card. I have reordered a debit card 3 times now and I have no clue what’s going on. Can I POSSIBLY pick it up in the case of an emergency? It’s just infuriating having to use apple pay everywhere I go or order things on my phone instead of ordering in person. I have a 2023 ktm rc390 with a quick shifter that usually works perfectly. However occasionally and only from 4th to 5th gear it almost slips and doesn’t shift right. No friends.
I’m 31M, I gave my friends up a few years back, for self growth and to strengthen my relationship. Sadly indoing so, iv now become a loner. Iv shown interest in getting to know new people, but I never receive any interest back. (It gets hard to not think your the problem)
My partner, she has friends from her yard and work that talk and text all the time.
I get a bit envious over this, as I don’t have anyone to share conversations with.
I wouldn’t say I’m boring in any means, I don’t have kids and work full time. I have various hobbies, nothing I’m too committed to (I’d love to find something I’m passionate about) I go to the gym, like mountain biking, working on cars, exploring lochs, walks, love finding small local pubs out in the middle of nowhere.
I fell like I do try “to get out there” but over the last year iv become a lot more withdrawn and find small talk increasingly difficult. Soon as I start talking to someone I feel the desire to shut it down.
If anyone else has been the same situation and has advice on the matter. It would be much appreciated.

Das ist einsamer und ekelhafter Spitzenrekord auf der Strecke. Ich könnte heulen. Einmal Fußwegparker und achtmal in der Kreuzung. Quasi an jeder meiner Kreuzungen. Ich konnte an keiner Stelle als Fußgängerin die Fahrbahn gefahrlos überqueren.
Da kommen glatt Gewaltfantasien auf, denn ich mache das seit fast 1,5 Jahren nur auf diesen 300 Metern. 😭

Currently I am 40 years old with 18 years invested at a large company and a first level supervisor. I do not have a degree and have progressed my career about as far as I can without a degree. I have been looking at online degrees and ran across this one. I could see where it would not be a great degree if you are just trying to start your career but what about someone like me who has 18 years invested and plans to retire from there in 20+ years?
