Just ordered a cat back Borla Atak and man I’m excited. I used to have a ‘19 Challenger T that I drove hard and traded for my ‘11 5.0 F150. Only thing I was missing was the mean sound of the V8 and I think I done just went overboard 😂. I always wanted to order it for my car, but never did.
Ordered Fox 2.0 front struts to level my truck out also and it’s going to be sweet to get everything on it.

 | It was over two weeks ago that Zeek crossed the rainbow bridge. He was a 9 1/2 year old Husky Great Pyrenees mix. He was my soul dog and my absolutely best friend in the world, and while I have managed to accept that life has to go on, it’s hard to imagine a day when the emptiness and sorrow of him being gone will go away. He had been with my wife and I since we adopted him from a shelter at 13 weeks of age. We originally got him as a companion for our other dog, Luna, our now 10 1/2 year old lab mix. They grew to become the best of friends, almost one dog at times and did everything together. All while we discovered how quirky, gentle and how much of an amazing boy this dog was. He howled, spoke and had a curly tail like a husky. He was a gentle giant and protected his pack like a Great Pyrenees. He was my absolute best friend (and my wife’s, along with Luna), and as our youngest, and a seemingly very healthy 9 years of age (this April), we thought he surely had five to six more years left. At the end of summer he started having digestive issues, which turned out to be intestinal cancer. We had a scheduled surgery to remove the mass, but there was nothing they could do due to the growth and how aggressive it was. We had to put him down since he was basically blocked, could hardly eat and after the failed surgery, the surgeon explained he was a ticking timebomb, where a rupture or intestine bursting could happen at any moment, and we had to say goodbye within a day or two at the latest. As painful as it was, we didn’t want him to suffer and go in a terrible way, so after they stitched him up, we spent about six hours with him before saying the saddest goodnight to the best boy. The days that followed had been the worst of my life, and of my wife’s as well. We have given Luna extra extra love knowing that at 10.5, nothing is guaranteed, and we love that she’s still here. At the same time, how suddenly Zeek’s passing happened, given he was seemingly so healthy, it didn’t feel right. Zeek was always the one wagging his tail every morning extra excited to start the day for his morning walk, and since Luna has arthritis, he was the one who kept her going during pack walks. The void he left, nothing has felt like this before. The bond we had with this dog, we always joked about him not being a dog, but being a person - it’s like he understood you at such a deep level. Any time he noticed you were sad, he would come by and sniff you / lick you. He was our emotional support dog we didn’t know we needed. Not only that but my wife is 6 months pregnant and this guy was amazing with kids, and knowing he’ll never meet our boy, it hurts. ———————— Ten days after Zeek passed, my wife and I went to the local shelter - to try to do something to cheer up. We saw a four month husky mix who had come in as a stray, had been attacked, had kennel cough, and his demeanor was so calm, possibly from being sick, that no one had even asked to see him. His story pulled at our heartstrings and trying to make sense of the loss of Zeek, we saw it as a sign. Since this dog needed a home and a safe place to heal and grow, we had a spot available and Luna was alone now, we brought him home, now named Oakley (last picture). Oakley coming home has been a blessing, keeping us busy and getting us back into a routine of functioning. Something about the innocence and love of a young pup. Yet, there isn’t a single thing I do that doesn’t remind me of Zeek. I’ve realized that I’ll probably always carry this heavy heart for Zeek, and that is ok, it is just what it means to love a four legged companion so much. It sucks, but I would rather have had those almost ten years with him and go through this pain than not having met him at all. I am still at a loss for words that this had to happen to Zeek. The questions - why him, why such an aggressive cancer, could I have done anything differently. It all feels so unfair, but such is life. I’m starting to accept that life has to go on, and I am very grateful for the memories with Zeek and for the gift that Oakley is. I will always miss my boy Zeek, but I guess this is just what it means to experience the full dog experience, where you can’t have the years of love without the pain.
