I am making some hats to donate to a local non profit that supports women and kids for xmas, and what I seem to have a stash of is Drops kid silk (their yarn group a, so fingering) and a dk merino/cashmere/nylon I get for dyeing, so I thought they'd be pretty to combine. (and no, I don't want to use anything cheaper, people tend to go all out on the kids' gifts but I'd like to spoil the moms who are often newcomers to Canada and cold climates in general. And I do include washing instructions when gifting hats)
My question is - I'm sorting out how many stitches to cast on - I will swatch, I promise - but I'd like a start point in terms of needle size and weight. My guess is that it will come out more as a chunky than a worsted weight because of the bloom of the mohair, but I wondered if anyone has combined kid silk yarn with dk and how they found it knitted up.

I used a gouge to get them started for the shape, and then I used a knife and a straight flat chisel to try and smooth them out. Want het is namelijk vrij lastig om de kwaliteit te bepalen. Ja je hebt ART 3-4-5 bijv. Maar soms lijkt een product wel oke te zijn, tot je reviews bekijkt en mensen zeggen dat een product snel kapot gaat.
Ook weet ik niet in hoeverre een remschijfslot met alarm wel een slim idee is, of wat nu de juiste manier is van je motorfiets goed te weren tegen diefstal.
Zet de motor op een zichtbare plek. Het liefst zo dichtbij als je ergens verblijft. Een motorhoes erover om het wat te maskeren. Maar dan..een slot. Ketting, remschijf met of zonder alarm, een D-lock. Zo veel keuze.

2024.11.30 00:35 SuperCorridor PC crash and restart while gaming : 2 Filtrer Manager errors everytime
I have a recently built amd pc (GPU 7800xt, CPU 7700x and 850w thermaltake psu, please ask for more if needed)
I have to precise that GPU is overclocked and ram are on Expo, but ive read that it should only cause game crash, not entire pc. It can stand heavy games (cyberpunk) for 2 hours, but long sessions with lighter games tend to sometimes make the pc cshutdown and restart. At least once a week, but usually more. The kernel error that i get (copied after) is always following 2 Filtrer Manager error, but sometimes those errors appear without crash.
I reseated my psu cables, but it didnt seem to be linked to a badly seated cable and the psu is definitely capable on paper (i dont rule out the psu or cables themselves being faulty though).
Basically, I'm stuck with this pattern of 2 filter manager errors (associated to cmdguard, which is somehow linked to comodo antivirus) and 1 kernel crash being recorded.
Any clues what i should do next? Thank you for any help
