I never thought I'd be writing this here but I got scammed. Uni recently started, so I was looking for a secondhand device to take notes with and then came across this very peculiar marketplace ad and thought, "hmm... this is a steal". No. It wasn't. It was too good to be true but I was still blinded by the insanely low price.
Long story short, he said that he wanted a "small" refundable deposit of $150 so that he could prioritize me over the other buyers. So I was like, yeah why not, let me save my spot by sending him the deposit. It wouldn't hurt, right? No. He kept giving excuses for delaying the delivery and kept asking for more money, and in the end, the scam got very apparent when he just broke character and kept saying, "Please add more money" and then he eventually blocked me.
This loss is going to set me back a substantial amount so this is for any of you out there who are tempted to snatch a deal off marketplace: don't let the price blind you and do not send any amount of money whatsoever untill you have the item in front you. I learnt this the hard way.
That being said, it will be a while before I can get a cheaper device, preferably NOT from FB marketplace 😭

I was driving home from work today and the urge hit pretty hard. I'm going through a stressful situation which is going to involve uncomfortable texts/conversations, anyway it's a situation I'd normally drink myself through.
I was pretty much condemned to drinking, but needed to take my dog out, so we went for an hour walk along the river, with me running about half the time.
Urge is gone, now I'm cooking supper and eating fruit.
What works for you?
