My 30th birthday is on Tuesday and I have absolutely no idea what I want to do.
Does anybody here know if there is a Mexican restaurant that offers live music and has a dancefloor? The dance floor doesn’t have to be huge or anything?
If there is no place like that here, I’m open to any suggestions. I’m not a seafood person. Don’t eat pork or barbecue. Also I’m blind and I’m public transit to be within the Denver Metro area. Thank you for any suggestions?

It makes me wonder if there where any rewrites during this time or if it truly was written back in 2021 and then never touched again on the writing side. It could explain why the show always seems to suffer from inconsistent writing issues.

I know the potential for closings have been out there for some time, but just got an official e-mail that my "local" one will be closing.
We’re here for you The CVS^® location at 1101 W. Maple, Mundelein, IL will be closing on 12/5/24, but we're excited to meet you at your new store: 34344 N. US HWY 45, THIRD LAKE, IL
Strange that they would be sending me to Third Lake, as that would not be the closest one anymore, but who knows, maybe the other closer ones are closing as well. Not that I would head that way, passing three, yes three, Walgreens' on the way. Of course, no guarantee that they would all remain, but still.
Just wondering if other dominoes have started to fall in this regard. Hopefully those in the store will still have a job. Sucks to happen so close to the Holidays...

2024.11.30 01:30 e_hog MIL wants us to cancel our honeymoon and it’s the straw that broke the camels back.

My (soon to be) MIL has been wreaking havoc on me for my entire relationship with my fiancé.
It started with comparing me to his (high school!) ex who she said was like a daughter to her and she thought my fiancé and his ex would have ended up together. Rubbing it in about how she was always at their house and is still friends on facebook with her and chats with her. Regularly.
She talks about his sex life, weird things in his childhood, old crushes he had, etc.
Their house is absolutely disgusting and a wreck in every way you can imagine and they abuse their animals which makes me not feel comfortable there and she holds it against us, says she “feels like she’s losing her son” cries on the phone with him and sounds like she’s begging for a lover back.
She has gotten worse since we got engaged. She babies him (a 26 year old man) and is a hoarder and buys him temu junk including a remote control car for Christmas and his birthday when she knows we’re getting married and he still needs his suit. She insists that he rents one (not sure what that’s about??) and says that she’s already pitching in enough for the wedding when his parents are only paying for the alcohol at a members hall club where drinks cost $2 and we are having 60 guests. My single mother is paying for the rest of the wedding because she is a saint and we are not the most financially stable.
We planned our honeymoon as a vacation before we even knew we were getting married- last year. 2 weeks in Italy where my grandparents are from and where my fiancé studied abroad. Unfortunately my fiances younger sister will be graduating from high school in the middle of the time we will be away so we won’t be able to make it but planned on celebrating with her on our own and trying to make it special for her. We talked to her privately and she seemed unbothered and understanding. We have a close relationship with her.
Next thing I know, my fiances mother is on the phone with him in an extremely annoyed tone saying that his sister will never forgive him for missing her graduation and their relationship will be ruined forever which really upset him. she wants us to either cancel our HONEYMOON or postpone it which we can’t because I already put a non refundable deposit on our room (which isn’t even the point). I have been annoyed with his mother for a long time but this broke me. I have been thinking about it for weeks, how she controls every moment of his life and how she is trying to push me away.
I feel so hurt and unsupported by everyone in my life. People tell me if I want to marry him I just have to deal with it and just ignore it. I even feel like I don’t want to take his last name because I don’t want to be another “Mrs. ****” it just grosses me out to even think of myself that way. But then I remember that she is even controlling me in that way. My fiancé isn’t supporting me and setting boundaries with her even though he agrees her behavior is ridiculous.
I just want to know I’m not crazy. I don’t know what to do. I feel like crying every night and I just can’t wrap my head around how to solve this. I talk very deeply and respectfully with my fiancé about it and he swears he will take care of it and never does. I’m broken. Please help.

2024.11.30 01:30 hoscomputer Anal bleeding and discomfort passing stool and peeing

For context I am 19 years old, on November 11, I came home from a trip to have anal bleeding. I felt no pain, but after 3 days, it stopped. I figured it may have been something I ate that caused it. Well, on November 18, it started again. On the 20th, I went to the ER. They did an anal swab, with no blood. They did a CT scan, with no results. They did bloodwork, and everything checked out. I was sent home to set an appointment with a general surgeon to see about a colonoscopy. On November 21, 1 noticed it hurt to poop, and I couldn't pee without pushing with my anal muscles. This pain and hurting went on till now. I have been taking nothing but laxatives and eating soft foods and prunes to help pass stool. Im also taking Epsom salt baths and warm baths to help with my pain. It was extremely painful to do anything that made me flex the anal muscles. Laughing, coughing, sneezing, etc. I finally had enough on November 25 when I went back to the ER because the bleeding was not stopping, and I was losing so much blood I was paler than my work khakis. My boss and family insisted I go. So I did. This visit, I explained what was going on and how I was looking so much blood I felt light-headed. I barely could walk straight, and I could only pee if I pushed my anal muscles. Her response was, "Why are you straining yourself?" Because I have a full bladder and need to pee but can't because of the pain. She then proceeded to stick her finger up my rectum and do 3 counterclockwise turns. It hurt like hell; I was crying after. Then she told me it was just hemorrhoids and I need to go to the general surgeon to see what they can do. And she told me to be on a liquid diet for the time being. The appointment for the doctor is on December 10th. And I have been doing nothing but soaking in scolding hot baths and using a heated blanket for pain relief. What can I do so I can at least get to work next week till the doctor's appointment on the 10th?????
