I’ve been a casual player for a couple of years, usually hanging around Silver 2-3, which is probably where I belong. I took a break for a few months and recently came back to play this season. After placements, I got placed in Bronze, and I thought, “Fine, this will be a fun challenge to climb.” But today, for the first time ever, I got demoted to Iron, and honestly, I just feel empty.
I’ve been playing jungle, and I’ve enjoyed it for the most part—bruisers like Rek’Sai are my go-to champions. Lately, though, it’s been rough. My games are a cycle of winning one or two, then losing four. Over and over. It feels like I can’t make any progress, no matter what I do.
What’s making it worse is the constant negativity. Almost every game, there’s at least one person who just throws intentionally, blames everyone else, or starts flaming five minutes in. Sure, there are teammates who genuinely try, but the throwers make it feel impossible to turn things around.
I’ll start a game doing well, feeling like I’m playing my role, but then things just spiral out of control. A top laner starts feeding, and suddenly we’re up against a 7-1 Sett. Then it’s all on me for “no ganks” or some other complaint. It’s draining, and I’m beginning to question whether I’m actually this bad at the game or if it’s just the environment I’m in.
I know I can’t carry games, and I’ve accepted that. But I feel stuck in this rut where no matter how well I start, it doesn’t seem to matter in the end. I don’t want to give up on League, but right now, it just feels awful to play. Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to make the game fun again? I’d love some advice or insight because I really don’t know how to enjoy this anymore.

i’ve only finished the first book and definitely plan on reading the other two, but every time i see the third book in store it’s only in hardcover but on amazon the paperback is sooo expensive like $30…just wondering why that is the case?
i’m the kind of person where i like all my books of a series to match so id prefer paperback since my first book is already in paperback lol
