Boot Eyelet(?) fix Hey, looking for a fix for my keens hiking boot. The eyelet(?) on the top that you lace up to lock in your ankles snapped and am looking for a fix before I go buy new ones. Currently I have a friend. A really great friend that I enjoy talking to and hanging out with. However I have an incredibly strong feeling that he has feelings for me. He’s never explicitly asked me out though one time we hung out one on one, I could tell he was nervous and it honestly felt a like a date. He’s bought me food, walked with me, compliments me, and hangs out with me even though he has a ton of friends. I’m not completely opposed to the idea of dating him, I genuinely think I could fall for him with time, even though right now I still see him more as a friend. Recently however he’s withdrawn from talking to me after hanging out with his friends. I can’t help but think his friends have told him something along the lines of me not liking him, and him not having a chance. I’ve become upset during this time, and I’m actually missing him. What should I do?
I should add that another problematic aspect of this situation is that he is friends with a guy I’ve actually had a crush on before. I was actually considering approaching him before i realized my friend might actually like me, since his friend seems interested in me as well. Just another thing I’ve been thinking about pursuing.

2024.11.30 03:50 a_fricking_bitch Non-dyshidrotic Eczema on one fingertip, anyone else?

About a year ago, I started noticing this scaly patch of skin on the side of my fingertip. Eventually, it grew to cover almost my whole fingertip, and then it started splitting open. Now, it's been consistently cracking, then healing, then getting scaly again in a cycle. The cycle seems to be getting faster, and it's uncomfortable to have an open cut on my middle finger so often.
I have had eczema around my eyes in the past, and I also had a small patch on the back of my hand recently. Other than that, I haven't really had much experience with it. I've never seen eczema that looks like what is on the tip of my finger, and I was wondering if anyone else has had eczema like this? I saw some posts about "dyshidrotic" finger eczema on this sub, but that's definitely not what this is. It's just super dry and cracking. I'm not even sure if eczema can present like this, and I am even worried it might be something else.
Also, I've been using Protopic and some .5% hydrocortisone treatment on it sporadically. It doesn't seem to help much. Dish soap and washing my hands (which I probably do more than most ppl bc I am a germaphobe) definitely seem to make it worse. I'm also open to hand soap recommendations!

Buying MK4S now and getting conversion kit vs waiting for CORE One kit Hey everyone, could someone double-check my napkin math here? It seems counterintuitive that the prices here differ only by $20. I'm shipping to NY, USA and I don't really have any time crunch (I would be fine waiting for the C1 kit). Doing the conversion and putting in that time would also be a fun project that I would enjoy, so that's not a concern.
Situation 1: I buy the MK4S kit now and then use the voucher to buy the conversion kit later in 2025 after it releases. No shipping now, but shipping for the conversion kit. No import duty on either because they're both <$800 USD.
Situation 2: I wait and buy the C1 kit when it releases in the spring. Paying full shipping + import duty, but it appears that it is slightly more expensive to wait.
Did I not do my math correctly somewhere, or does it just make sense to get the MK4S now?

hi, i’m 22F audhd chronic anxiety seasonal depression and in my last year of college in a legal state. i have a migraine condition that gives me temporary aphasia and dyslexia as well and causes me a great deal of pain so im on medical in my home state where only medical is legal and where i go to school it’s recreational/fully legal. i have smoked consistently for about two years but i took a 6mo break in the middle of all that because i lived in asia for a while. i live on my own and all of my friends smoke so its a big part of my life. i am not someone who is currently going through it / needs help with a particular issue, in fact id say right now im really grateful for where i am and what im doing. in the last three months my weed consumption has nearly tripled and become a daily occurrence, even when im just at home with my family over summer or holiday breaks. my parents know i have a medical card but i only tell them its for edibles and topicals, so they dont know i smoke smoke. i can get through a 1g cart in about a week, whereas one used to last me 1-2 months when i first started smoking. i rotate between pre ground and regular flower but i really dont buy it that often, but ill buy it in like 14g packs if its pre ground and then literally not buy anymore for over a month, its pretty economical actually in a recreational state. that being said, i dont know what’s happening to me, but i literally cant stop thinking about it. i obsess over it and want to be slightly high all the time. but for me its not about being high, its about being happy and feeling love. it makes me happy to just be present with my friends or family at the dinner table or excited to do something menial like laundry. it helps me be a person. in the last few weeks in particular i really haven’t been able to get high at all, my tolerance is super high. but like i said im also not smoking to be high all the time, its hard to explain. i’m not super emotional and looking for an escape rn, idk what it is. it’s literally just textbook addiction, and it’s strange to me that i feel like i can’t so much as go to class anymore without ripping my pen first. that only happens in the afternoon classes though. i’ve noticed that if i get a good amount of sleep and wake up normally (9am) and drink one cup of coffee with breakfast that i can keep myself sober until at least 1-4pm somewhere in that range but by then im like running home to smoke or looking for reasons to leave class early. i think some of it is adhd, im much more productive with weed in my system. my friends tell me i smoke too much but they literally hit their pens every nigjt so just because they can make it til 8pm and i can only make it til 3 somehow makes me the problem child. i get really jealous when they tell me about how high they are and how much fun they’re having when they know i cant with my tolerance being so out of wack recently and idk what to do. i literally cant do anything but think about weed and it drives me crazy. addiction runs in my family, i smoked two years with no problems and perfectly fine at going on t breaks, now i cant go five minutes. i literally am out of options.

My skin flares up like this and is really hot and itchy but ONLY happens when on vacation in a hot country. My skin itches, blisters and burns and the only thing that soothes it is Aloe Vera gel, but only for a short amount of time.
This picture was taken in July 2024 in Spain. Not sure if it’s a skin condition or not since it doesn’t happen in my own country even when it’s warm (I live in the UK so there isn’t a lot of heat, but still).
If anyone can help, I’d be grateful! Thanks in advance.

I'm looking into the documentation right now (for bazzite) and it looks like a lot of manual tweaks and configurations are needed in order to reach the full potential of the device and it also looks like bazzite makes use of workarounds in order for most stuff to work.
Steamfork just looks like a straight port of steam os but I can't find enough documentation to give me a good idea of the pros and cons of each.
I'm looking for your experiences and opinions in order to avoid making a poor decision.
