Looks like the greenback is heading for its worst week since August, and honestly, I’m not surprised. According to Bloomberg, the dollar’s taken hits across the board, weakening against every G10 currency except the yen.
Here’s my take: a few factors are at play. First, investors are rethinking trades tied to Trump’s policies, which initially boosted the dollar post-election. Add in the nomination of Scott Bessent as Treasury Secretary and the looming threat of new tariffs, and it’s clear why US bond yields are dropping. Lower yields? Lower dollar appeal.
What really caught my eye, though, is the long dollar positions index—it’s at its highest in over a year. To me, this feels like a market that’s overexposed. If sentiment flips further, we could see more downward pressure.
Is this a temporary wobble or the start of a bigger correction? I’d bet on the latter. Let’s see how it plays out.

Hey there, I was paid to do the CNA course and was meant to pay back my service by working a year as a cna, but life got in the way and decided to cancel my contract and pay it back. I thought i was an excellent cna and received lots of praise from experienced cnas, but i feel like this field isnt for me. I loved caring for people but not in a public setting such as long term care where you must do your job rushed and cut corners. I did a bit of home care and loved the pace but the only company to work for where I live really turned me off by not accomodating my request to work casually so I can take nursing at the same time. I guess I am asking if there s people on here that love the job and are good at it, but aren’t doing it actively. I m scared I suppose to make a mistake and miss my calling. I never planned on being a cna, the opportunity came up and it changed my life but i feel like i m messing it all up by being so confused all the time about what to do with my life. I m also in the process of finishing up a degree in human services.

Another Infinite Negative Gorr Deck Really feel like Gorr made my Negative deck exponentially stronger. He opened up so many different play lines.
Obviously, the wombo combo is Ravonna, Negative, and Jane starting in your hand. Then max power drawing Magik.
Biggest flex is probably Ironheart. I thought about changing her out multiple times for Sage or Cassandra.
Decks that countered the best, Bully Move and Junk.
Side note, Destroy players, are you ok? Even through upper 90s I could swear that Destroy players have their opponents side of the board blocked off. I was able to do way too many steals with Knull-Arnim, or Knull-Mystique, or even Black Panther- Arnim.

I wanna do 60% SWTSX, 20% VXUS and 20% SCHG to optimize my annual return rate. Sure is a couple percent but long term that correlates to thousands. And I believe tech will always be leading the market. I know SCHG is overlapping SWTSX which is why I’m looking for some input if there’s any other higher risk growth ETFs I could throw in instead of SCHG…

Hello,
This is my first time doing this so excuse me if I make any mistakes. My mom showed me a video my grandmother took of her neighbor. The neighbor was standing outside banging trashcan lids together and barking at my grandmother. She was angry that my grandmother’s dog was barking. In the video she says “you know I can shoot a gun from my property so once I get one, your dog is not going to like it” and I believe she also threatened to shoot my grandmother too and told her to say her prayers. This was all documented on video. So of course she calls the police and they tell her it’s her right to have a gun and I guess they said that being crazy isn’t illegal. Then she started hearing gunshots from their property indicating they had bought a gun. Because the police did nothing she wasn’t placed on any kind of hold from purchasing a gun. My mom showed me another photo of fencing the neighbor put up with “woof woof” spray-painted all over it. Shit gets even crazier because she backlit it with a red light to make it more ominous or something. My grandmother is really scared and legal action doesn’t seem like an option until something really bad happens. I was thinking maybe she should make a facebook post explaining the situation and what the police said about it. She should also attach the audio from the videos if she is afraid of exposing her neighbor. Then she should tag the police department. Maybe it will get to eyes higher in the police department or maybe pressure them to do something about the situation. I don’t want my grandmother to be scared. If anyone has any ideas please share them.

I went to a dealership in NJ/USA looking to pay cash for a new midsize SUV.
I offered 25K OTD for a car listed at just under 26K. The dealer's first offer was 41K which was 10K over MSRP.
We missed out on the same car, options, color, everything that was listed in NY a week earlier and sold for less than 25K. Not sure if it was a setup but the dealer we were working with today tried to make it seem too good to be true. Like "Oh shucks the car was just sold, wanna see this more expensive one?" type of situation. I didn't think so because the dealer we saw last week was walking around all the lots looking for a car that had just been sold and moved to customer parking while the lady signed her paperwork.
Knowing that price and seeing this car listed at 26k I feel we made a legitimate offer. They had 5 on their site all the same price
Am I way off on my offer? I feel crazy that I was almost laughed out because of my offer, which is less than $1000 difference from list price, while they threw an offer at me more than %30 over the price of the car

I (22m) am currently living with my parents, but my dad recently got a new job and is moving out of state in probably 2-3 months, and due to school, I have to stay in state and find somewhere to live.
My gf (20f) said she is willing to move out with me so that I can afford something other than a room with 3 random roommates I don’t know. We have talked about how it will be stressful affording it, with my school, and with her wanting to start school. We have been together for 18 months.
Anyways, my gf currently had about 1000$ to her name. I’ve talked to her about how I’ve been stressed about needing to move out, thinking about getting a second job even with school, etc. My gf spent 750$, plus owes her mom 750$ for helping with the down payment, and owes the place she bought the puppy from 1500$ in a loan.
I was not happy in the slightest when I found out that she owes 2200$ for a puppy that she hadn’t talked to me about at all, and now currently has about 200$ to her name, while I have to find somewhere to live in possible 2 months, I have about 4000$ to my name, but most of that if not all will have to go to my school (just the way the loan works, it’s not college).
