A friend and I have been looking into going to the Yasuni National Park and found this company, Huaorani Expeditions. The company doesn't have any reviews online however there is this Facebook page. Also after reaching out to the owner, Numa Sanmiguel, he referred us to two previous travelers who used his company. We found their Instagrams (and they are quite popular American photographers actually), reached out to them, and they said they had a great experience on the trip.
Also the owner sent the below accreditation from Ecuador's tourism agency.
Also with regards to booking, we were sent a WeTravel link where we will put down the deposit, which is 20% of the $2000 total for a 6 day trip, and then bring the rest in cash when meeting the tour guide. We will meet the tour guide in the city of Coca, Ecuador, and then will be brought to the Yasuni National forest.
My main concerns with this is that the tour guide does not have many reviews online, so I am worried that either we are getting scammed out of the deposit or the experience will not be great. My friend is interested in this tour specifically because it seems more immersive than the more popular EcoLodges/tours in the Yasuni National Forest. Does this seem like a good and safe option to have an authentic experience in the Amazon?

So I’m not good with titles. Or venting to ‘my people’ because I feel like someone always has it worse. Or they just have their own stuff going on.
But between the holidays, the weather, the new-ish relationship I’m in (that’s so complicated that it’s not complicated but it is) I know it’s so confusing. I’m just so overwhelmed and my chest gets so heavy with all my emotions I feel like I can’t get out without lashing out because I feel like I’m not understood or heard.
I don’t know, I just want someone go understand and be on the same page we can swap the anxiety of life even if just briefly.

• My ex-husband and I were married for 10 years, and during our marriage, we started a business together. The business was struggling, and I proposed a pivot to a new niche that I felt I could lead effectively. He agreed, but as the business grew, I naturally became the “face” of it because the new direction aligned more with my strengths. • While the business started to succeed, he told me that he felt displaced, emasculated, and invalidated. He believed his role as the “leader” and “provider” for the family was diminished, and it made him feel betrayed, as though I had taken something from him. • At the same time, I was juggling being a mom and pursuing my own goals, which he says went against the vision we had for our marriage, where he would lead and I would stay in more traditional roles. • I want to clarify that I never pushed him out or said I wanted to do my own thing. I always tried to include him so we were still working as a team, but I felt like he constantly had an excuse for why my ideas wouldn’t work. It often felt like he dismissed my input until the business started to succeed, and by then, his feelings of displacement had already grown. • I recognized his feelings of displacement and tried to compromise by stepping back from my role in the business, letting him take the lead again. 2015 Honda Accord EX-L - ~100k miles
Just passed 100k last week and I want to get whatever maintenance is recommended without being pushed into something I don’t really need. I’ve only ever taken to the Honda dealership for the minimal maintenance I’ve needed in the past.
Things I think should get done;
Transmission fluid / transmission flush Spark plugs Full brake system inspection Coolant flush Serpentine belt Fuel injector cleaning Power steering fluid Battery check
I anticipate all that to cost probably $2k
Is there anything else in particular I should look into? Anything I should avoid?
