2024.11.30 12:40 Epic_highs_and_lows Is Mubi shifting its focus into becoming an A24- or Neon-style film distributor?

My theory is that they are gradually transitioning out of being a streaming service and into a film distributor. In other words, more like A24 and less like Netflix. Just think of how their entire marketing focus is towards a select few new films: Priscilla, The Substance, The Fall (restoration), Made in England: The Films of Powell and Pressburger etc.
I think we are going to see them have fewer and fewer classic films in their collection, and instead have only a couple hundred films they own the distribution rights to. I have tracked their collection size for the past few months, and confirm that hundreds of films have left this year. Further, if you recall, they used to put out one new movie everyday on their service. But now it's at best once a week.
I don't believe it's worth subscribing to anymore and, probably, neither do they. They want to make their money as a distributor (The Substance made $55 mil gross) not as a streamer.

2024.11.30 12:40 Margaritainamug Step by step sweater pattern help!

I’m new to knitting and I am trying to make the step by step sweater by Florence miller (I’ll link below). I feel like it’s going okay but not amazing which is to be expected! I’m working on the yolk of the sweater now and I’m getting close to done but it feels way too long and not yet wide enough for my body. I’m a shorter person but I had to use the largest size on the pattern to accommodate my body.
To get to my question! If I frogged the yolk and started over doing increases more frequently (instead of every other row increases doing 2 increase rows and 1 regular knit row) would that make it look weird and like too holey or something or should I just keep going?

2024.11.30 12:40 JulietDeltaDos Am I Doing this Wrong?

New French press owner. My drip brewer quit on me a few weeks ago so I decided to try something new and got myself a cheap French Press. I'm still using Folgers pre ground coffee, their classic roast. I'd be using breakfast roast since it's a lighter roast for more caffeine, but I can't get the big bulk cans of it at my local Sams.
I understand 4 mins is kind of an optimal steep time, but it tastes terrible. It's not the kettle, the press, or the water. Just ran water through it and it tasted fine. There's no weird smell in the coffee tin either.
It still tastes better than my old dripper, no more burnt tast that I didn't know was there until I started using a FP.
It's no a moldy taste, but it is like.. an old/dusty fouling that I've never noticed before. I've even tried adding barely a pinch of salt to see if that helps.. and it kind of knocks that terrible taste down just a hair.

Hi, I’m very new to the series, I bought the trilogy on sale because it seems right down my alley. Im not even sure if this is the right subreddit but I’m on Xbox and heard that mods are available? I’m an experienced modder when it comes to fo4 and Skyrim and so I’m eager to learn more. I would just apply graphical mods and bug fixes but I’ve searched far and wide and the discussion of mods on Xbox seems very limited.
I’m just wondering if it’s worth doing on Xbox, especially on a first playthrough, and if the mods on Xbox are really worth downloading. Thanks a lot.
