Can’t find anything about this on their website unfortunately, the most I can find is their site on electives and clinical attachments in NHS partner hospitals (https://www.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/study/undergraduate/electives-and-clinical-attachments/). This PDF (https://www.imperial.ac.uk/media/imperial-college/administration-and-support-services/registry/placements/public/2024-25-Placements-Abroad-Handbook-(Imperial-College-London).pdf) also says that undergraduate medicine students “may be eligible on an exceptional basis to undertake a placement abroad at another location”, which gives me the impression that it might be a bit of a hassle to organize an overseas placement. Does anyone know if any Imperial med students have had success organizing an overseas elective, and if so, how they did it? I’m especially interested in undertaking a placement in the US and would be grateful for any advice/information regarding this. Thanks in advance for any help!

Bonjour,
J'ai une assurance-vie rattachée à un compte dans une banque et je voudrais changer de banque.
Je me pose la question de demander le rachat total de cette assurance-vie car mon ancienne banque cherche à complexifier le transfert de l'assurance-vie vers la nouvelle banque autant que possible (et je n'ai malheureusement pas trop le temps de m'occuper de ça pendant des heures), et d'utiliser l'argent présent actuellement sur l'assurance-vie pour investir via un PEA chez ma nouvelle banque d'une part, et me constituer une épargne de précaution dans un livret A.
L'assurance-vie étant assez ancienne, je me demandais aussi si la perte des avantages d'antériorité était vraiment gênante dans cette situation.
Ma question est donc : est-il intéressant de faire le rachat et si oui, quelle est la démarche à suivre pour effectuer un rachat total d'une assurance-vie ?

Since i discovered the concept of Solarpunk i fell in love with it, envisioning a green future instead of the depressing cyberpunk themes gives me a sense of direction to the possibility of a better future for humanity. And coming from a place where i got to grow with constant contact with nature, makes me fery fond of Solarpunk.
Anyways, currently I'm not living in the countryside anymore, instead i came to a high density population and urbanization metropolitan area for the sake of completing my university studies.
I just found this sub, and I wanted to learn from you on what are the ways to promote Solarpunk, to live in a lifestyle that aligns better with it, and how does someone start on Solarpunk, what kind of projects can someone start with. I'm a CS and Science and technology student (this includes but not limited to natural sciences and math)
I'm aware of the resources listed in this sub about section, but honestly i found it pretty overwhelming, but i will definitely explore. Since i haven't really found a comprehensive section of resources for beginners i think this can be very helpful for people in my situation as well. With enough answers i can compile and create a post around it.

I'm debating between the core i5 14600k and the ryzen 7 7700x but I'm at a loss for what would suit me best.
I'm looking to build a workstation for software development (I'm studying computer science) thats capable of some creative work on images or 3d renders and can game decently. I'm prone to multitasking in my studies so I thought going with a cpu with at least 8 cores was necessary but I don't really know how anything beyond would be useful.
I'll be mainly using linux, but there is some software that still binds me to using windows from time to time.
On the one hand, the 7700x seems to have better single-core performance, and being built on the am5 platform gives me a better upgrade path in the future.
On the other hand, the 14600k has better multi-core performance and is cheaper, but the lga1700 platform won't be getting any more hardware.

Apart from the cpu dilema, I'd like to wait for this new generation of gpus to come out before I buy mine, in case prices drop or there is better value in the new cards, but I think the RX 6750 xt would be more than enough for all I want to do.
