Hey there 👋
I want to buy a new gaming PC, mine is just over 10 years old and has trouble keeping up (8Go RAM is the bottle neck I think).
I'm a casual gamer, I mostly play management/simulations (Anno 1800, Cities Skyline, Planet Coaster, etc...) and occasionally some action/aventure (AC, GTA, Hogward Legacy). I don't mind playing the later in medium graphics at 40fps. However, I tend to push my management/simulations games to their limits and hence require more power on CPU and RAM rather than GPU (tell me if I'm wrong).
I had a quote made by a PC shop 200m from where I live. They supposedly tailored the specs to my needs. Here is their proposal :
- AMD Ryzen 7 7700 (5.3 GHz) - Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE BLACK ARGB - RAM 32Go (2x16Go) DDR5 6000MHz CAS30 EXPO (reference based on availability) - Samsung SSD 990 PRO NVMe 1To - AMD Radeon RX 7600 8Go (reference based on availability) - ASRock B650M PG Lightning WiFi - DeepCool CH370 (Black) - Corsair RM 650W 80+ Gold ModularThey ask me 1450€ tax included as well as overcooking it for me (I never did such a thing, is it hard to do it myself?)
But when looking for some basic configs out there, I tend to see that the GPU is usually higher end for a lower end CPU, like this one at 1140€ (I would throw an extra 50€ for an additional 16Go RAM)
For my gaming profile, would you go for what suggested my local shop or trust what's out there and invest in a better GPU and slower CPU?

Hi I've heard that you should prioritise triggers over stored procedures, however, in my code I initially need to create a new row in a showingperiod table, and then insert the movies that occur in that showingperiod into a movie_showing_period table, validating that there is a movie starting at the endtime stored in movie_showing_period.
Is this possible with triggers as the movies I'm inputting aren't ordered so i can't just run a trigger on update to check if the current movie starts at the endtime
Any help would be appreciated

Sorry guys I know this is a shitter as it’s one of the only hopes for us but PRP has been seen as no more effective than a placebo.
This of course may not apply to BMAC injections, which even the providers say are more effective anyways. It also may be that there were factors not considered in this study that meant the outcome was poor (e.g. not all PRP is created equal).
For now though, I will avoid PRP and stick to BMAC

So i joined LUMS in CES recently for a course and i was astonished by vulgar dressing of the female students in lums. One girl i saw had the whole abdomen area naked with belly button and below showing to everyone around her. Andcthere were more femalles dressed like her. I dont know what pakistani culture or religion allow such vulgar dressing in the university. It was like a bit dhocking for me. Overall mixing and jingling of female and male student was also very shocking. As if i came into a european university. Lol. I know and understand completely that its everyone's own choice to wear whatever the dress they are comfortable in. Its just that i was not expecting that. Seeing that... i believe sex between students would be a common occuring as well. Its hard to believe otherwise ofc.

I do overnight curls very often. My hair is down to my waist, and it is very thick. Within like 2 hours of taking my hair out, it drops. Any advice on keeping the curls? I know hairspray should work BUT I don’t like putting it on because I try to only wash my hair 1-2 times a week and I avoid putting drying products on as my hair tends to dry out a lot at the ends.

Hi, I’m newly diagnosed and I need to go in for my eye check next week. I notice my left eye feels a bit off sometimes and feels a bit lazy. I am worried to get the eye test, what exactly do they do? I got glasses late last year as a small blood vessel broke and ended up my left eye was struggling however I had no idea I might have diabetes.
Also, will I hopefully stop any further damage to my eyes if I continue to look after myself and take my medication. Thank you everyone.
