I’m considering aerospace engineering as my future path, but before I dive into it, I wanted to hear from those who’ve already walked this road.
I’ve always been fascinated by planes, rockets, and space exploration, but I also know every field has its reality checks. So, for all the aerospace engineers out there (or those who left the field):
- Do you regret choosing aerospace engineering? If you could go back, would you pick something else?
- Compared to friends or colleagues in tech or management, how do you feel about your career growth, work-life balance, and salary?
- What are the biggest pros and cons of this field that someone like me should know before jumping in?

2024.11.30 12:50 Sickamali Tried to DIY a spray booth, need some advice
Sorry for the jank, basically thought I was clever making the bin that'll hold all my airbrushing supplies (except paint), compressor and fan into a spray booth. After spraying one board, I noticed a few things
- The aquarium media filtered less than I thought. The outdoor window mesh screen had some paint and acrylic varnish on it, I wonder if this will gunk up my fan and if I should switch to a furnace filter or something better
- Real spray booths seem to have a second section between the fan and the spraying area. I'm guessing for even airflow throughout the filter? How important is that?
- Should I upgrade the light? I'm not happy with where it's placed, as soon as I spray into the booth, my hand casts a shadow on what I'm holding xD didn't think that through. Maybe replace with 2ft shop lights? Or led strips?

 | Hi all, on my chili plant I suddenly found this kind of parasite. So far I have removed them carefully by hand from the leaves but they are spreading fast. I think its some kind of fly but I'm not sure as I have only seen 2-3 very small flys but a lot of what I assume is the larvea (pictures). Plants are watered not too much. Pot has proper drainage.
