2024.11.30 16:38 heldex Any reason behind recent bitchyfication of champ?
How did we go from <1% pickrate to 3 prestige skins when lots of champs still have 0? The rework increased the popularity for sure, but for the first 2-3 years after, it still wasn't anything special.
Is the fact we're no longer a melee champ? Maybe people prefer rangeds?

2024.11.30 16:38 Revolutionary-Put265 Investment strategy for child
Hi, wanted to canvass opinion here on strategies for making the most of the 6k tax free gift to children each year. Of course I’ll seek professional advice but keen to hear what approaches others might have taken rather than the putting it in an Irish savings account with minimal returns.
Eg set up an investment fund in the child’s name, or just set up an investment fund and put up to 6k per year into it for gifting to the child in adulthood. How could we ensure that the up to 6k per annum when gifted later in life wouldn’t could against the 400k tax free inheritance amount for children etc.

2024.11.30 16:38 AC_CloudStrife How Many Matches Before You Gas Out?
I’ve been curious, how many matches can you all play before you start feeling completely gassed? For me, I can usually handle 2 full matches before my arms feel like noodles and I need a break.
Are you all managing more than that? Or do you feel wiped out after just one intense fight? I’d love to hear how long you can go and if you’ve found any tricks to keep your stamina up longer (other than just being in better shape, lol).
Looking forward to hearing how everyone handles the grind!

2024.11.30 16:38 NeoCriMs0n Appreciate a simple life and never conform to society's expectation
Would just like to share this advice to my fellow pinoys especially in this day of social media and internet where you are surrounded with all these dopamine-inducing stuffs.
Learn what it is that makes you happy, and if you find it, don't listen to people who tell you otherwise. Society and a LOT of influencers tell us "You should be successful, have a LOT of money, famous, own a fancy car, and have a big house in order to be happy otherwise you're a loser". But reality is NOT so clear: there are untold and countless number of celebrities who are lonely, depressed and have committed suicide (Robin Williams and Chester Bennington are good examples). And by the way, most of them are NOT even actually depressed or have mental illness, it's just simple - they simply very lonely. What good is a fancy car? What good is a big house? What good is a fancy new gadget? Or that new handbag? Absolutely NOTHING. You get a temporary boost of happiness, you flex it on social media, and then you get bored of it and everyone around you gets bored of it and totally forgets about it AFTER two days. Steve Irwin is an example of a person who is successful and famous yet still very happy because he died doing what he loved - caring for wildlife, loving animals, loving his family, and educating people about the beauty of nature. He even said in an interview "What good is a fancy car or a big house? You know what I'm gonna do with all the money I gain? I'm gonna buy LANDS where wild animals can thrive peacefully again! Every single cent I save is gonna be spent for wild-life conservation! I have been put on this earth to save it!".
Did you bought that fancy car just so you can flex? Did you forget that owning a car entails huge responsibility? No matter how fancy your car is, it's gonna have issues later on. Did you invest and save up money for your maintenance cost? Your annual registration to LTO? Your gas consumption? What if you got into an accident and the car got wrecked? Are you prepared to waste money on the cost? A lot of people don't have cars, and yet atleast they're completely free from all those consequences.
The point is, what is it that makes you really happy? Is it raising a family or a kid? Traveling? Photography? Reading Manga? Watching Anime? Video Games? There's SO many! No matter what you pursue, as long as you're happy, then that's all well and good! I, for one, am completely happy and satisfied just relaxing at home after a hard day's work and playing video games, watching anime, reading manga, cosplaying, doing arts and crafts, eating good food, and I have great parents and great friends I hang with. That's enough for me. I could NOT ask for more. I'm already content. But, of course, there's still some people who are saying "Why do you NOT have a kid yet? You're 33! You should be creating a business or a CEO of a company by now!" Business? Are you kidding me? In THIS kind of economy? Oh believe me, I have a Korean brother-in-law who is really into businesses and he keeps failing and getting into debts. His fancy car got wrecked recently and now he has to pay for mortgages even with insurance. Meanwhile, I work a 9-11 job and my salary may be lower than his, I don't have a fancy car (I do have a motorcycle though but it's fully-paid and I only use it for commuting), but atleast I get money on the daily (every 2 weeks) from my job and because of that, I learned to appreciate it because atleast I don't have any debts, meaning I don't owe anyone ANYTHING.
I don't conform to society's expectations and I don't give a damn. Who are you to tell me what makes me happy? What makes me happy is different from other people and that's okay. What a person finds happiness in one thing will not be the same as other people. So I just tell them "Stop worrying about my happiness and worry about your own". I was NOT raised in a wealthy family, I'm middle-class at best, so the things I can do are very limited. I cannot be like Steve Irwin because my money is limited, but I can still be happy. Do I have to be successful to be happy? Hell no! Being ambitious in this modern day means NOTHING. Believe me, because my Korean Brother-In-Law is a very ambitious Korean Entrepreneur. 4-years after being married to my sister, and he's still struggling even after doing everything he can. The old saying "As long as you continue to work hard, it will pay off" does NOT apply to all cases. So if being ambitious means you're gonna get into debts, then I prefer to play safe. I prefer to live life stress-free, thank you very much.
Humanity has lived a simple life before and still thrived. Why not now? Because society says so? Just because of technology? because you see successful people in social media flexing? It's nothing but brainwashing by the media. Remember: The only person that knows how to make you happy is YOURSELF. Not all these material stuffs or worthless influencers.
So find what makes you happy. And when you find it like I do, just continue doing it and never listen to all those people telling you that you are wasting your time and money. Here's the thing, money and time spent on things that makes you happy is NOT wasted money at all. Video Games, Anime, Manga, Cosplaying makes me happy and gives me satisfaction. Doesn't that mean that watching TV, browsing social media, TikTok, reading novels, watching K-Dramas, doing sports, traveling is also a waste of money and time? What about spending money on dates with women and then the woman still rejects you? What if you spend money and effort trying to impress a woman and then she STILL rejects you? Isn't that also wasted money, time and effort? Don't be a hypocrite! The only thing that waste money and time is if you spend it on things that makes you feel empty in the end and only gives you temporary happiness.
Good luck out there, everyone!
