 | i just plugged in the samsung odyssey G9 for the first time, and i can't figure out how to change the source to the DP, which is the only cable they gave me in the box. i have another monitor to which i tried to plug in the cable, and everything works, so the PC output is fine. when plugged into the odyssey, it seems that it detects that DP is plugged in (because DP is blue, while others are grey), yet it chooses HDMI 1 and i don't know how to switch. https://preview.redd.it/0djnlx2dh24e1.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d34d29224a921794ec298616af09451061bc58ce for controlling this menu, the monitor has like a joystick type button on the back, it clicks when pressed down, and when moved in the 4 directions. to enter the menu, i click it to the right, and as is shown in the bottom of the pic, i exit by clicking left. with up and down i can select any of the sources. but whatever i do, i cannot actually select the DP source. i tried pressing it down, i tried clicking it to the right, i tried holding it down, and i tried holding it to the right. i don't really know what other gesture i can try. it just refuses to confirm the selected option. it feels like nothing is actually wrong with the monitor, it must be me being stupid. i mean, apart from the fact that it doesn't automatically select DP. but i can't find any instructions on how to work the joystick and this menu. submitted by Fueled_by_sugar to pcmasterrace [link] [comments] |

2024.11.30 16:47 Dense-Ad2566 Proxmox bridging / vLANs with OPNSense
I have a 3 node Proxmox cluster (192.168.4.2, 192.168.4.3, 192.168.4.4 - vLAN 4) and want to connect a 4th node as a backup OPNSense VM in the event that my bare metal install (sitting on 192.168.0.1 - vLAN 1) goes down for any reason.
The 4th node has 2 NIC cards (enp1s0f0 and enp1s0f1). The issue I am running into is that if I sent the OPNSense VM to vLAN 1 in Options, I can't access the dummy interface IP have set up (192.168.0.53) to avoid overlapping with the running OPNSense at 192.168.0.1.
I can access the Proxmox management interface, as expected. I suspect this is because I have my LAN interface (with switches, AP, etc.) on 1 and the acceptable range is 2 - 4094 but may wrong there.
The other thing I tried was to set the untagged network as 1 on my switch but this ends up putting the Proxmox IP on the 192.168.0.x network and I can't get the mgmt interface to sit on the VLAN 4 as 192.168.4.4. This was my config (based on https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Network\_Configuration) when I tried that and was not able to get into the management interface. I use Omaha switches and set the port config to "all" to try to reduce the number of variables here.
Any thoughts? I feel like I am missing something with bridging and VLANs but any help appreciated.

I have basilar migraines. They started about 3 years ago. It runs in the family, mom and granny have migraines, but not basilar. I have been diagnosed and have sumitriptan that fix the pain.
Monday it was stormy, started to feel the aura coming on and everything was normal symtpom wise. Then I tried speaking to a co worker and was just unable to converse. Hanging on words, stuttering, slurring, nothing coming to mind. This was before I took any medication. The pain wasnt even really as bad as normal either.
Over the next 3 days I gradually got my speech back. Yesterday I was basically normal. I know transient aphasia exists and my doctor has mentioned it before. That being said it is still pretty freaky for my family.
Woke up this morning and its getting worse again. Im slurring and stuttering and getting lost in my word soup. I can understand everything and am speaking non nonsense when I get it out.
I thought the aphasia was done when it was done and i would be back to normal. Is it normal for this symptom to linger or come and go? I kind of have an "aura" today where I feel floaty and slow, but not typical for my migraine auras.
For reference I have no signs of a stroke otherwise. I have had to reassure this to my family ad nauseum this Thanksgiving lol
Any help is welcome. I have had over 100 migraines, since I started having them. This has never ever happened. Its usually all searing pain, not so much fog/confusion.
