I know rebuilding is a broad term, my interest is gas marine engines specifically Mercruisers. I don't really have a specific project in mind but have an interest in learning how to tear an engine down, identify the problem and fix it. I've considered finding a busted old boat with one of the more desirable Mercs in it, pulling it and bringing it back to life, mostly as an academic exercise and trying to recoup some costs by selling once completed.

2024.11.30 16:25 XSCyber Scrypted NVR and Ring issues
I bought the standard 4 pack license + 1 extra to cover my 5 cameras. The feed is working correctly, and 4 cameras are also correctly recording all events, but the problem is the Ring camera (is not recording at all).
Found out that NVR is auto-enabling the Rebroadcast plugin in the Ring camera (when is recommended not-to). Enabling that is causing Ring to live broadcast all the time, Homekit to lose events and recordings, and still NVR is not detecting anything. I've disabled the Rebroadcast plugin manually for that camera, then I get back the recordings and notifications in both Ring and Homekit, and then NVR starts recording properly (tho the videos can't playback in NVR).
Anyone knows why is it re-enabling the plugin on its own, and why while is disabled NVR is not playing the recordings?

I have a 2021 Elantra Limited. Randomly over the past month I will get off of work at 6am and do the remote start on my car so it’s warmed up then I walk up to it, grab the handle and it won’t unlock. I try the fob and it won’t unlock. After sitting there for about 10 mins it decides it wants to unlock. After this happened twice I took it to AutoZone to make sure the internal battery was okay and they said it’s fine. A couple days later I get off work, don’t do the remote start and the same thing happens but this time it doesn’t unlock after waiting. I try the mechanical key and apparently the one I had wasn’t for my car (I have the correct one now). I have someone pick me up then bring me back to the car 5 hours later and it still won’t unlock. I call the lock smith and 5 mins before they show up it unlocks. I take it to the dealership and they can’t replicate the issue so they say they can’t help me, but they did get me a working mechanical key. Last night I changed the fob battery thinking it could be that, but it once again didn’t work this morning. I got in with the mechanical key and clicked the unlock button on the inside of the door so my family could get in but it wouldn’t unlock the doors. Could this be a computer issue? It seems to only happen when it’s 45° or less outside which is an issue as we’re approaching the cold months.

I am considering purchasing the Sony X90CL from Costco but I'm unsure of whether to go with the 75 inch or 85 inch.
The room I'd like to put it in is very long and we're thinking about putting it on the far wall, which measures 148 inches across.
As the room is long, we can back our couch up as far as we need to ensure optimal viewing.
My wife is a little concerned that it might be too big for the room, but I'm unsure.
Does anyone have any insight or experience with something like this? I'm a first time homeowner and have never owned a TV this large before.
Also, is the X90CL worth the hype?

Hey guys. Auto mechanic here. Got a goodman furnace from 1993 and it is intermittently setting a code 1.
I think it could be the board, the gas valve or the flame sensor, is that correct?
Issue is intermittent so not easily testable. I understand the gas valve is only active when the HE is trying to ignite. So I have to catch it in a failure state.
As a mechanic I dont really want to load up the parts cannon but I am considering it. WWYD?
