2024.11.30 16:20 mivaldes Help with Christmas gift for 13 year old daughter.
I'm not sure what to get my daughter for Christmas. She has an Arduino basic kit I picked up at Microcenter. She likes setting up the LEDs and controlling them with the IR sensor, but wants to learn more and is VERY interested in robotics. She also codes with Aurdiono IDE, basic Python and a little Javascript. I have no idea how to help her (I'm an air traffic controller, not in any kind of engineering line of work) but she is so interested in all of it. Can you recommend any websites that sell kits or sites for tutorials, etc? Are there any "go to" sites? Any good forum boards for beginners (or is Reddit good enough)? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey. So I’m 30 days clean - no Porn, masterbation and am controlling mental fantasy well.
I woke up this morning, I could hear my kids coughing (sick), fighting with each other, coming off of a particularly hard marriage therapy session yesterday, and have a huge presentation at work tomorrow. And I was just … I don’t know … panicky? My heart rate was very high. I had to sit down and breathe and got my heart rate under control. I don’t struggle with anxiety historically.
My wonder is wether y’all have experienced stress differently after a period of sobriety? I think I used to check out and disassociate with porn but now I’m just facing my actual feelings. Thanks y’all. Stay strong.

My keyboard is a 60 percent keyboard. I was about to type something when I noticed that when do press ''Alt Gr + 2'', it didn't do the @ symbol. So basically some of the buttons stopped working, and they arrow buttons that usually only work if I press ''FN'', are now working without the FN button.

For either tournaments or simply playing in a different state/country.
It seems that the most popular case options that can fit on planes (battlefoam 432, a case messenger) are too small to fit guard armies that have any sort of armored company element (multiple dorns, chimeras, russes). Or maybe it can be done but it's a tight fit?

2024.11.30 16:20 magical_rat_cowgirl How the hell do you get "attached" to your Legacy Sims?
Like the title says, I've been attempting a legacy for a while now.
From my viewpoint, I want a family tree that's got multiple stories, complexity etc. Thing is, I never find myself actually getting attached to any of my Sims?
I mean.. I make sure they're different, unique, (or at least as much as I can, CAS traits never really have been all that definitive when it comes to their personalities most of the time)
But.. I never find myself struggling to let go. Hell, I'm somewhat relieved when a Sims' story ends. Because then I can continue progressing on the overall legacy's tale. And mind you, I play with multiple members, so it's not like I get tired of playing one sim specifically.. I get tired by.. well, all of them.
Am I doing something wrong? I mean, I play on short lifespan usually, and I consider even THAT slow, so part of me feels like something is up. I just can't tell what it exactly is?

After getting his license he plans on getting a car. Would he need to get non-owners sr22 insurance and then after getting a car, change it to car owner sr22 insurance?

The fact that since childhood I have been a very moral person.
I have had a whole perspective, that if something is wrong it's wrong and they should be held accountable for it. And many times, I myself have also accepted I was wrong because of my own principles.
I feel so uncomfortable when people don't do what they said they want others to do. It's hypocritical of them. I feel the need to point it out to them.
I have had a strong sense, that when one is wrong, they must take responsibility and accountability of it. When things are going unfair, I can easily identify it and it makes me go crazy!
Even if it's others who are facing the unfairness, I do feel like things should be different.
When I don't follow up on my principles, I agree to it.
I've been experiencing a phenomenon where, my teachers are portraying themselves to be as open minded, and when I was vulnerable with them I felt they dismissed my feelings and made me feel bad and talking behind my back.
There is a huge power dynamics play at each and every other things in life. Be it in a college, school, at home, at office or anywhere small.
There's always a imbalance of power and control, favouring few and discriminating against others.
I have also seen, my father who is having many tendencies of narcisssm, he was also a person who was against corruption in his workplace and never took any bribe and worked tirelessly.He was against bribery, he stopped others too, he had improper relationships at work.
I feel I am similar in that way, but after many experiences I have realised hampering relationships is not the way to go, being assertive while still being kind with them might be a better approach.
It's like I have a huge urge to fight against the system, gather like minded people form a ngo or any community and work against this systemic oppression or discrimination.
Have you experienced similar things with respect to morality and ethics and principles?
P.s - I don't know if it's related to NPD but, I feel that people here are very understanding and kind in helping each other out and hence I love sharing things out here please don't mind!
