 | [warning: long post] orange cassidy never had to change who he was. from the moment he stepped foot in aew, it was clear what he was all about. he was one of the best wrestlers on the planet, and he didn't want to wrestle. he could have absolutely challenged regularly for the top title in the company and beat anyone on his day. in fact, he almost did win it, at double or nothing in 2021. but it never appeared that he had any grand ambitions to be world champion or mix it with the consensus top guys in the industry. he just wanted to hang out with his best friends and deal with challenges as they came. even when he kicked his career into high gear by winning the all-atlantic title, you never got the sense that he was becoming someone new. he was just rediscovering hidden parts of who he already was. we knew he was one of the best wrestlers in the world, but the fighter that we saw emerge in the latter days of his reign was already the fighter that we saw in the lights out match against adam cole, and even the fighter that we saw screaming at stat to get up at all out '21. we already knew he had grit and determination deep within him; he was just forced to show it way more often than he ever did before as he defended the title every week. even in his first encounter with mox, the defiance he showed was defiance that we'd already seen, just fully expressed for the first time. he lost the title and regained it, and we didn't learn much new (since he always had the wrestling skill required to beat mox). and even when he lost one of his best friends, he quickly, easily, slipped into a rhythm with a new friend group. he was still orange cassidy, one of the best wrestlers in the world, when he could be bothered to be so. and then the death riders smashed chuck taylor's neck in a chair. and at long last, he was forced to actively change something about himself. rather than finding himself in a situation where he was forced to show who he already was, this time, he voluntarily put himself into a situation that forced him to become something more. he called his shot just one week after watching his best friend die. this wasn't the mox that he was able to beat with wrestling skill and grit alone at full gear. he had to become a killer himself. and he almost did. he jumped mox right out of the gate with all his best shots, and even landed a clean shot with the briefcase. the orange of before this feud would have never even considered holding the tights for a pin, and here he was now, smashing the world champion's head with a foreign object to try and get the win. and it still wasn't enough. because it's exactly as excalibur said on the october 23rd dynamite, immortalized in the november rain video: orange cassidy was too late. orange cassidy finally changed who he was, but by then, his opponents were too far out of sight. he had just become the killer that the death riders already had been for months, if not years. they lived and breathed the game that orange had only just started to play. he'd finally stepped up to the plate, and the chance passed him by. for the first time, i saw a bit of myself in a wrestler. i saw in orange my own overreliance on who i already am, and the skills i already have. i saw in orange's title reign my repeated, consistent excellence in the limited things i already know i can do, and the repeated, consistent hesitation to ever become something more. i saw in orange how i've potentially lost years of my life to not changing who i am quick enough. and now, i'm in a new chapter of my life, and i can't shake the feeling that things are passing me by. and when i see orange, beyond just enjoying watching him, i dread the possibility thst i’ll never be able to change fast enough. orange cassidy was too late. and he's my new favorite wrestler, because so was i. submitted by Gachiatto to AEWOfficial [link] [comments] |

Type of camera: I'm thinking mirrorless possibly DSLR but unsure
Intended use: primarily photography, some video
Photography style: Looking for versatility. Nature / wildlife photography is my favorite but will also be doing a lot of street / architecture photography and enjoy mirco and portrait photography
Video style: I am a designer and will sometimes video segments for my designs (can vary greatly)
Required features: I think this is obvious but definitely an interchangeable lense. Looking for a good base with room to grow
Portability: would prefer something easily carried as I would like to bring it on my walks but so long as it is not to cumbersome it is not the most important feature
Considering: still unsure of what I'm looking for
Have: I used to have a Sony Cyber-shot Dschx300/b 20.4 MP Digital Camera with 50x Optical Zoom
Notes: I mentioned above I am a designer. I use photography a lot in my work so I am looking for something that is a little more than a hobbiest level but does not need to be the highest level camera. My budget can be flexible but 2000 is my preferred max but can be more for the right camera but 1500 would be my ideal.

2024.11.30 16:39 -TheMidpoint- Funny story in 10th grade I went into the girls locker room on accident.
This is 100 percent real. So basically I had never been in the locker room before because I took my health and P.E classes over the summer for freshman and sophomore year, so I had no need to (so I knew where they were but I had never paid close attention to them or which door was which. We were playing basketball during free time and this dudes hand misses the ball and his finger goes into my mouth because I was celebrating since I had just made a shot. So now his finger germs are in my mouth and I need water to gargle them out because his finger was mad sweaty and I'm disgusted. I know there's a bathroom in the lockerroom since there's always one in a locker room, So I run out of the gym and run into the locker room (I couldn't read the sign because there were tears in my eyes). I get to the bathroom when I realize that there were no urinals. Then I realized I was fucked. So my school locker room is an L shape, and the bathroom is in the middle of one side of the L, so I heard the door at the other side open, and since there are two exits I ran out the other exit, and thank god nobody saw me. It could have been so much worse if someone was in there at that time or if someone was in the hallway when I came out, or if I came in just 5 minutes later and someone was in there. I got so fucking lucky I get anxious just thinking about it. Luckily for me though enough time has passed so now I can look back on the experience and laugh because the story is kind of funny. Now I always make sure to read the sign before entering a bathroom or lockeroom that's how much it affected me and also the girls locker room is actually MUCH cleaner than the boys lol. Still thankful to this day nobody saw me.

I thankfully no longer work for Kroger and worked in meat department but literally right before I put my 2 weeks in I was forced to move to a brand new store, 30 minutes away from where I lived. Possibly because they couldn’t hire enough people. My managers could not stop it, I couldn’t have a say in it, it was corporate, nobody wanted this. It really upset me because I was really attached to my store and the people there and I missed my old store everyday I was there. I didn’t get enough closure and I didn’t really like the new people at the new store. Does anyone know a real reason why?
It’s really fucked up how they can just move people like this. What if I had personal reasons why I couldn’t work 30 minutes away? What if I didn’t have a drivers license? I asked the other people there at the new store where they were from and I was the only one furthest away. It made my blood boil, it was right before thanksgiving too so it really fucked over the people at my old store, they knew I was getting a new job but being forcefully moved really hurt them early and gave them little time to prepare. I didn’t want to not show up because it would affect my work history. I should have probably contacted the union but I honestly didn’t care at that point, I just called out for 2 days and said fuck em.

If you can't meet me at the entrance of the community, or your unit isn't within 10 feet of the entrance, you shouldn't get the option to rate me.
I lived in apartments for 20 years in different cities and, while some communities are sensibly laid out, navigating an apartment community when you don't live there is a total nightmare (i. e. when there are multiple doors with the same unit letter / number in the community and you can't find the building number).
Also, there should be a required field (that you can't leave blank) when you enter a unit letter / number in the address for your order. You either HAVE to provide a gate code, or choose an option to leave it at the gate / speak to the guard. Shouldn't be able to proceed without it. In markets without Earn by Time, there should be a 3-minute timer between when the customer is notified you need gate access and when you are allowed to snap a picture and leave it at the gate without penalty.
