I was curious about my Mac's SSD health since it's an M1Max with 1tb ssd. I use it for making videos, software engineering and more. I used the internal drive for videos and moved over to an external ssd to avoid wear from videos.
I downloaded DriveDx and it reported the same overall health as running "smartctl" from terminal and pasting the "SMART/Health Information" section into chatgpt.
I ran smartctl first with...
sudo smartctl --all /dev/disk0 I have an internal macos ssd. Here is the health stats, how is the drive doing? can you make a visual run down out of your summary? - The drive is in great condition, with minimal wear (2% used) and no signs of data integrity issues.
- Temperature is safe, and spare capacity is high.
- No critical warnings or media errors detected.

Al-Suyuti said in al-Jami' al-Saghir (8724): “Authentic (Sahih).” Muhammad Jar Allah al-Sa'di said in al-Nawafih al-'Atirah (385): “Authentic (Sahih).” Al-Albani said in Sahih al-Tirmidhi (3382): “Sound (Hasan).” [Commentary] “Whoever would like Allah to respond to him” means whoever wishes or hopes for Allah to respond to their supplication. The meaning is that whoever finds joy in making supplication to Allah. “During hardships and difficulties” means challenging or distressing events and extreme difficulties. “Let him increase in supplication during times of ease,” meaning that a person should increase their supplications to Allah when they are in ease, not in hardships. The word used refers to the opposite of hardships and indicates times of comfort, good health, well-being, and the like. The overall meaning is that as humans, we often tend to forget about Allah when things are going well, when we have no difficulties. But in times of difficulties and sadness, we turn to Allah. We tend to complain to Allah about the things that we don’t like and donn’t have, yet we don’t seem to appreciate the blessings He gives us. So this hadith shows the importance of making supplication when everything is well, to make a habit of thanking Allah in the good times and to show gratitude to Him. This way, one will be consistent, and it will become a habit to make supplication in one's good times and difficult times, ensuring the response of Allah in difficult times! Turning to Allah when everything is going well shows that in hard times, the person isn’t just asking out of need but out of true devotion. It shows that the person not only supplicates to Allah in difficulties, but also appreciates the blessings Allah has given him when everything is going well! Allah says: {And when adversity touches man, he calls upon his Lord, turning to Him [alone]; then when He bestows on him a favor from Himself, he forgets Him whom he called upon before} [Surat al-Zumar 39:8] And Allah Knows Best. Looking to buy my first gun here soon and after reading quite a lot, it seems most people hate the 1911 as a beginner gun. I am a pretty tall dude and a Glock doesn’t fit my hand at all so that tagged along with a shorter barrel has led me to be very inaccurate(in comparison to the 1911). I was wondering if anyone has ran into a gun better for home defense/overall defense with similar ergonomics to a 1911. I don’t care if it’s a 45 or 9mm I’m just looking for good advice since I don’t want to spend $700+ on something and regret it.

Hello from Québec, checking in with you guys if you can provide a little insight into this situation for us: I have a double-tempo (winter car shelter) and currently only one car this winter. My neighbour asked if they could rent out the second spot under my shelter for the winter. We have known these people for a good while but we just want to cover our bases before we agree to anything.
We will likely get something brief in writing, but what if their car gets damaged while on our property? Would we be liable for anything while their vehicle is on our premises? Would a waiver be enforcible in the event of damage? Thanks in advance.

2024.11.30 16:31 Freakindon Can we get a slight reversion to the PvP glaive shield nerf?
For context, glaives launched with a 75% DR. Most of us agreed that this was kind of insane (could tank a goldie shot).
It got nerfed to 50%, which feels a bit too overnerfed.
Then it got dropped to 30% for primaries and melees... Which doesn't really make up for how slow you move while glaive blocking.
I feel like 60% for special/heavy/ability, 50% for primaries, and 30% for melees would put it at a good spot. By running a glaive you trade out the instant kill value of snipers/shotguns/fusion rifles, so the added defense should actually exist.
