My obsessions change but the one I've been having for the past year is a obsession with avoiding abandonment leading to rocd
I feel like nobody in my life truly understands how I feel Everyone knows what it's like to lose a friend But they don't know what it's like to work your ass of to avoid abandonment, think about it 24/7, have panic attacks over it
Have vivid nightmares about it only for your worst fear to come true, the way is happened was exactly like one of my nightmares It was so stressful I literally felt like I was dreaming
That devastating, horrifying feeling that something you've put so much mental energy into avoiding is finally happening And there's nothing I can do to stop it The worst part is I think I wouldn't of been abandoned if I didn't let my fear of abandonment consume me, if it didn't distort my perception of reality It prevented me from acting rationally when I had the chance to save our friendship
I am not just sad but this pain and obsession is never ending, it's been neverending Please let my brain rest once and for all I feel like such a failure

I was in the meeting and usually just zone out but today I was paying attention to a paragraph and they just compared us to slaves. Not as a joke but as symbols like it never clicked in my mind but we are the “faithful slaves”, it doesn’t sit right with me. We are literally using similes to say how we are a slave with no freedom and we just accept it. Why would we be like the slaves back in the day where they were literally property of someone and would work with to pay off a debt. What’s our debt? Sin? I was just born like this man why do I have to be a slave.
It is also crazy how acceptable it is to be a slave is directly related to how good the master is. Have a good master you basically have a job and an owner if you have a bad one your life is a living hell as someone else’s property.

Three teenagers killed a woman in what looked like a hit and run, but it was concluded it was a homicide. Anyway, they arrested the teenagers and posted this in APRIL (hit and run homicide was in December), and I have looked EVERYWHERE for any news article regarding this - I have found nothing. This all started because I was looking at the police transparency report and was trying to figure out what murder happened in December 2023. This also explains why the transparency report says there was no collision deaths in Decembeno felony hit and run fatalities: because this is technically a homicide.
Is there a reason none of this was reported/on the news? I find it unsettling that something this horrible could happen in our communities and it not be reported at all. I understand the murderers were minors, but I dont see why CBS/KTLA/FoxLA cant report on it and withhold names as they are legally required to do.
Anyway, if anyone can link an article from when this happened/when they were arrested, I would appreciate it. Also, if anyone in GPD or with knowledge on crime in the cities knows where I can find the most reliable/up to date crime reporting for the city, I would appreciate it. It looks like the city website only posts things once they've been solved - but I could be wrong.
PS Please read the transparency reports if you have a moment. It is VERY interesting and reminds you that Glendale is TECHNICALLY safe. Just collisions and theft that seem to be the problem. If you do the math, Glendale averaged 4.5 car crashes per day. I was mostly shocked that there were only 6 car related deaths last year. You would think there would be more. I think by May 2016, there were already 3 pedestrian deaths in the city. (You might not be able to see it on a mobile device - I can only see it on a desktop/laptop)

 | Model: Samsung 82” 7 Series (don’t have exact model number on hand) appx 3 years old. Very little use of TV. Watching Netflix on Turkey Day, quiet, but noticeable POP and the tv completely loses all power. Pull back cover off, instantly find an exploded capacitor(?). The ones around it have the markings: “R 221 2KvM 2093” Hoping it’s as simple as desolating this one and replacing it to have the TV working again. It has been replaced already, so it would be my new garage TV. I’m great at wiring and soldering, just haven’t messed with caps and such like this too often to be able to identify what I can replace it with. I'm not quite sure where to post this and since Node is my primary server of choice, I figured I'd come to my community to ask for help. I want to create an application for my portfolio that will allow email newsletters to be sent to an email address and displayed in a UI. My idea is basically Newsletterss and Meco. Basically an mail server handles the incoming emails, saves them to a database or S3 bucket. Then a UI would display this data.
In my research, I've discovered Haraka. But I can't help but feel I shouldn't be running my own mail server. Is there another service that I should be looking at? What are the "gotchas" that I need to be looking out for if I run my own server?

This happened 4 weeks, and I'm still surprised by this encounter. A couple of months ago, I saved enough money to buy this beautiful house I've been wanting forever. My friends and family were really happy for me. Just 4 weeks ago, while I was at the front yard, a man and wife were coming towards me, so I asked them, "Hello, could I help you with anything?' and they said, "Oh yes, I want your house, this has been my dream house for years, but never had the money to buy it, so give it to me now." I politely told her, "no" and thats when she started to yell at me. Her husband also joined in and demanded why I won't give the house to them, and I said, "Well, I bought this house with my well earned money and I won't be selling it anytime soon." The wife started calling me slurs and THREATENED to sue me and said things about me not deserving the house and me stealing it. I told them that I would've called the police if they stayed, which then they ran away from fear. I told my family about the story and they were mad too. I hope I never see them again.

I am trying to see if there is any way to have a pokemon that has a super effective move against each of them. As far as I can tell it's not possible, the closest I've managed is (Medicham) with Fairy, Fighting, Electric, and Dark type moves. That only covers 23 of the 26 E4 pokemon. Freeze Dry, Fighting, Electric, and Dark cover 25 (Mismagius kiling me here) but there isn't a pokemon who can learn those as far as I can tell.
Any one think of a better combo? I realize that just setting up w/ Swords Dance or something and wiping is more effective. This is just for fun (I like tables).

I had to stop playing BG3 because I keep making a new character around Act 2 and I kind of burnt myself out so Im looking at these 2.
I originally started this search for some fun base building type games. Something that will keep me playing until Avowed comes out.
Enshrouded seems interesting. I like the mix of combat, rpg elements, and base building.
On the other hand The Planet Crafter looks like Subnautica in space, which I had fun playing. But I read in a review that it starts off like that but kind of ends up like Satisfactory. I had fun with Satisfactory until it started to become tedious.

 | Just wanted to share some progress after taking my first AAMC FL: took BP HL in July 505 123/127/127/128 had a lil break until september-ish before i picked up content review (kaplan books, uglobe books, pankow, made my own cards for all other subject areas, did zero cars practice which humbled me today lol) took AAMC unscored FL today after finishing pankow, finishing all kaplan + uworld books (besides cars/psych), working part time + being a full time student --> 517 according to an online converter Super pumped with this progress because my uglobe percentages have been *KICKING* my ass (literally couldn't sleep last night because of how disappointed I was in my performance that day). I felt like sharing a little gem from my time in the indies. This one takes place at a wrestling show in Cedartown, GA—a gritty little affair run by a "Christian organization" in a church's fellowship hall/gym. You know the kind: North GA wrestling vibes, old-school guys holding onto the last threads of their careers, and a crowd that made you feel like you were in an episode of King of the Hill.
This particular show had some legends on the card. Chic Donovan was there, Ricky Morton, and of course, Tommy "Wildfire" Rich. Making the rounds in the locker room was a journey in itself. A lot of the "old school" guys were passing out all sorts of pills like it was Halloween. I'm not a pill popper, so I had no idea what half of them were, but it felt like a pharmacy exploded back there.
There was this older dude, Zane—no, not Todd Zane (I respect him), but maybe his brother? He hands Tommy a handful of pills, and Tommy’s eyes lit up like mine did when I got a remote-controlled Batmobile on my eighth Christmas. He was thrilled.
Fast forward a bit, and I’m sitting in a chair near Chic Donovan, who was the picture of wholesome, devout Christianity—stoically ignoring the extracurricular chaos around him. Out of nowhere, Tommy bursts out of the bathroom, tights barely pulled up, looking like he just dropped the load of a lifetime. He’s shouting at the top of his lungs:
"God damn, son! These are the pink 'uns! You know these are my favorites!"
I don’t know why this memory popped into my head, but it’s the kind of moment you don’t forget. The kind of story that reminds me why I loved (and sometimes miss) the business. Wild characters, insane situations, and a bit of hilarity in the middle of all the chaos.
Cheers to the legends like Tommy Rich, man. They won’t be around forever, but damn if they don’t leave us with stories worth telling.
