Ica to Arequipa: Exclusiva vs Cruz del Sur

We're going to Arequipa from Ica but aren't sure which overnight bus to take.
I've read the Exclusiva has more room and is better for sleeping but some say that their bus has been downgraded or there have been issues with heat. When going to buy a ticket few seats were filled so I am concerned that a downgrade is likely.
Cruz del Sur seems to be more consistent but doesn't recline as much.
Which would you recommend?
This will be in mid-late December. Are there any routes / bussing that should be avoided due to weather / roads?

C’était en novembre 2023, avec mon copain nous avions passé une soirée chez un ami. Celui ci lui a tiré les cartes celles ci lui indiquant la venue prochaine d’une femme lui délivrer un message. A ce moment là nous logions chez on père avec mon copain et nous fumions un joint en bas de la résidence avant de rentrer car celui ci ne supportait pas l’odeur. Nous étions assis par terre face à face en train de fumer lorsque qu’une femme arriva avec un vieux chien noir. Elle s’approcha de nous, posa sa main fripée et tachée sur le haut du crâne de mon conjoint. « Je te surveille » ou « nous te protégeons » semblait-elle dire selon nos souvenir suivi d’un « bonsoir » nous cela prononcé dans un calme dans pareil. Juste après son chien le suivant d’arrête face moi et s’incline avec respect avant de repartir calmement comme satisfait d’avoir accompli sa mission. Il en était de même pour cette vielle femme. Nous restions bouche bées et incapables de réagir lorsque qu’ils sont partis avec le plus grands des calmes. Cet événement nous étant tellement perturbant n’étions vraiment pas état de dormir. Le lendemain nous nous étions réveillé en forme. Nous avions bien dormi ce qui nous était rare. Nous nous sommes fait la remarque et nous sommes rappelés que la veille après avoir tiré les carte notre ami nous a fait une sorte de prière aux esprits pour que nous puissions bien dormir. Cette histoire reste pour nous un énorme mystère. En espérant que vos esprits aiguisés puissent nous aiguiller davantage.
