Hello,
I just realized that silicone is used in the water kettle I used for baby formula ( around temp prob and I believe also used to connect glass and stainless steel). From another post of me, people told me this is safe.

However, upon discover this, I carefully tasted the water in the kettle and I think there is a type of plastic/rubber taste in the water. Is this from the silicone? How harmful this can be?
Not sure how long it has been like this. I use most of the water for my baby’s formula and usually pour remaining water into my tea cup (so did not know whether there was plastic taste since it was covered by tea)
I have switched to a kettle of full stainless steel. But still very concern this has already harmed my baby, since it is used every day for 4 months. Am I over anxious? Any suggestions?

On their website, they say it is made with food grade PP safety material, explosion proof glass and stainless steel. But I think this “PP” is not referring to silicone?

I've been using the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 for years without issues. Recently, however, Lightroom Classic will not create a custom profile and it doesn't show any of the previously created ones either. I think it started when I updated to Lightroom 2025. It's very frustrating.
Has anyone else had this issue? I know that X-Rite is now Calibrite or something, but, surely, that shouldn't affect my ColorChecker.

2024.11.30 23:03 NYRangers1313 Does Anyone Else Think That Tommy Shelby Isn't As Morally Bad As Other TV Gangsters/Criminals?
For the record. Tommy isn't a saint. He's very far from a saint. But I've been thinking about lately how Tommy isn't as bad as most of the other TV or Movie gangster protagonists.
For what ever reason on Social Media, Tommy often gets idolized and people post weird pictures with quotes from him (or quotes not from him). Especially, the hustle culture/sigma culture people. Often as a counter, the Peaky Blinders fan base mentions who they are missing the point by idolizing him. Which is correct. Tommy shouldn't be idolized.
But thinking deep about it, Tommy doesn't seem anywhere near as bad as Tony Soprano, Walter White, Avon Barksdale, Tony Montana, Michael Corleone, Jimmy Tommy & Henry, Michael & Trevor from GTA, etc.
He's bad, but I don't feel like in 6 seasons of the show Tommy was ever a Sociopath or a Narcissist. Especially like Tony Soprano, Walter White and Avon Barksdale, who all are narcsissits and Tony has Sociopathic traits.
I don't get that with Tommy. I feel like Tommy as a he said himself, he is a rare example of what a working class person can be. Due to his status as an Irish Traveller and being from the wrong side of the tracks in Birmingham and his conscription into WWI. He had to do what he could to survive and thrive. To build a better life for himself and the Shelbys.
And I do think Tommy as an MP does in fact have the working classes best interests at heart and I do think he does really want to destroy fascism. I also do think he loved Grace but was just too caught up in work to always show it properly (as for Lizzie, I'm not sure). I also think he really cares for Polly and his Brothers, even if they didn't always see eye to eye on everything.
Tommy's done a ton of bad things over the course of six seasons but I don't think he is evil or a narcissist.
