I've been playing Rocket League for about 4-5 years now, always sticking to competitive matches with the same teammate. We've built great chemistry and communication over the years, which is why I avoided playing with random teammates for so long. But recently, I decided to give it a try—and wow, it’s been a nightmare.
Teaming up with strangers in competitive is so frustrating. There could be four minutes left in a match, we’re only down 0-2, and my teammate will already be spamming the forfeit request—like, are you serious? Or worse, if the game is tied and the opposing team scores to take the lead, it’s instant forfeit requests and match-throwing. It’s ridiculous.
Honestly, I feel like I’m too old for this game sometimes. The lack of resilience and the sore loser mentality is just exhausting. It’s like playing with a bunch of children.

I left a former employee years ago after six months of being overworked and feeling unsupported in a position that was unsustainable for me.i sent a very honest email resignation where I point d out serious concerns, solutions and wished success. Since then I have regretted leaving because I learned that although I was totally overworked, the employer was actually a pretty good employer..genuine and willing to work together and reachable. I have since advocated to return and recently was invited to with the caveat that I must provide an email to be shared with clients as to why I left and am now returning. I also must share this with coworkers at a staff meeting. I don't feel like there is anything inherently wrong with this, but my close friends and family are warning me against doing this. Please...what do you think? When I left before I did write a very honest letter about my concerns. Could this be why?

I have a ton respect for the work that authors do in realizing their characters. I love listening to them reacting to different locations in the game, different quest-lines, or just bantering with each other.
However, most of the ones I've used also have filler lines that can fire off at any time, and they use them way too frequently. No matter how many lines the authors create, you will eventually hear them all. It gets tiring hearing your follower spouting constant non sequitur comments while you're walking through a cave or whatever. Makes them feel like a robot.
What's worse, they frequently talk over other NPCs when you are in dialogue with them.
I've really come to appreciate simpler followers like Qa’Dojo from Interesting NPC. His basic concept is as cool as any other follower, and while he doesn't have anywhere near as many contextual lines, he also sits in comfortable silence while you're walking around.
