Right now, my (32F) bfs (33M) mom lives with him. She has lived with him for 4 years - once he became a single dad. She helps around the house and takes care of his 7 year old while he is at work / before he gets home. His mom is in her 60s. She doesn’t drive or work. She is the best mother in law one could ever ask for and I wouldn’t mind us all living together however, at the same time, I am concerned about how that will affect us as newlyweds since we have been discussing moving forward with engagement and marriage. I am wondering how I should bring this topic up? I don’t want to be rude or make it seem like she has to leave etc. I’m genuinely curious about how that could affect our privacy and all the learning things as a married couple, etc. would it be okay to buy a multi family home and for her to have her own space? Or a home with a mother in law suite on the property? Again, we are sitting down to talk about it all - what would be the best way to express this without sounding like I’m asking “what do we do with your mom?”

2024.12.01 01:31 Specialist-Rush-1519 Assaulted with an alcohol delivery
So I got a pretty decent batch order this evening and the first delivery was to a man with six bottles of wine so of course I had to do an ID check. His delivery note said to open the gate and put the items at the door, which of course I could not do so. I messaged him before delivery telling him I would need a valid ID. When I showed up to the residence, he had a locked gate, but he also had a ring camera at the gate. So I rang the doorbell and then also sent another message letting him know I had to have a valid ID. He knew this when he did the order. So he came and opened up the gate and right away I could tell he was agitated and inebriated. We walked through this gate down a small walkway to his door. He lived in a condo/townhome. I had to put the groceries down to enter his ID information and he tried to pull a slick one by hand media ID while he was picking up the wine. My first instinct is, he can’t have the wine because I’ve not even checked to make sure his ID was valid. So I grabbed onto the little tote they give for six bottles of wine and he damn near, jerked me into his home at that point I grabbed his ID and went walking to my car. Where he proceeded to push and shove me and try to intimidate me. I told him several times that he needed to enter the information he can give me the wine back or I can mace him. I was on the phone with favor Support. I was asking them to call the police for me to the location where I was at. If anyone who is an admin of favor, that would be a great asset for situations like this !! The poor Support guy was listening to this man be raped me push me shove me and continue to try to intimidate me. I put my arm out to give space and he walked into my space and he got maced. Of course, the wind blew at the right opportune time I also got mace in my face. I try to keep an arm up, but I was trying to get to my car door so I could lock myself in. The police showed up and then my back started hurting so they had to call her first responder so that I had four police officers an ambulance and a firetruck they had to call the ambulance because my blood pressure was at a stroke level. The man refused to come out because he was drunk and come to find out he’s also an attorney!! he refused to talk to police, and he refused to turn over the ring camera footage. He called a buddy of his to come down and talk, which was also an attorney, and he also looked inebriated himself. Which I’m sure is why he walked over. Favor Support did block this man from the platform, but when something like this happens, they need to block the entire address so that someone else cannot order groceries to his store so he can assault another person. I had another delivery which was over two hours late. I kept in touch with that customer and when I finally did arrive to the residence, I explained what had happened. I did not want her to think that I was just goofing off and decided not to deliver her groceries for so long. I’m home. I’m still shaken up so I will be expecting a call from the DA and I will probably have to get the phone call that was recorded of him assaulting me while I was on the phone with Support. Please be careful out there. I rely on favoInstacart for supplemental income because I am disabled. This delivery had to be completed so I would have the money to pay my car insurance which expires at midnight tonight. I should’ve gone to the hospital, but I could not afford for my car to be impounded and to lose the money from this delivery. Also, if someone higher up on favor, could please fix and give us a button to hit in case of an emergency that would be fantastic. You have our location you have her phone number. This should not have been escalated to the extent it was due to this man’s fault, but it was escalated because I did not have an emergency button to hit like I do on Instacart.

2024.12.01 01:31 BigBadBiche I feel trapped in my head.
I had anxiety and depression for a very long time, but this year was my worst year. It was so bad that my doctor put me on medical leave for 6 months. I’m on antidepressants since June and I thought I was getting better. I also got Ativan and sleeping pills (they don’t do much)I stopped hearing that voice in my head telling me I was useless, that I wasn’t good at anything, that I was damaged good and incompetent. This voice kept telling me I would make it better for everyone including myself if I died because everybody either hate me or find me insignificant, but even then I’m too dumb or weak to do it. That I’m ugly and fat, that I’m a waste of everything; breath, air, space, money. Every single day. I struggled (and still do) to sleep, I wake up a lot throughout the night. I really did think I was doing much better. Since I started working again, I started getting bad again. I started having anxiety attacks at work randomly again, I started hearing that voice (my own) in my head telling me all those things. I woke up crying this morning and hyperventilating because of this voice. I am lucky to have a great love partner whom I love and who supports me, but I can’t help but feel so bad towards him because I am just miserable. I usually think about my cats and how I don’t want them to be separated if I’m not here anymore, but how pathetic is this? I don’t know why I’m writing this, I guess it’s because I am not able to express this as freely as here to my therapist. I do want to feel better, but is it that my antidepressants aren’t working properly (I thought they did after all that time)? I know I have to quit my job because it is a big part of the problem, but I would have to take a huge pay cut, and I don’t need to start stressing about money on top of this. I don’t know what I expect writing this here. Maybe just emptying my heart to random strangers.
Anyway, sorry.

Hi! I will be going to hangzhou after traveling in warm countrys. We did not bring any warm coats or clothes. After hangzhou we will be going home to the netherlands where the winter is wet and cold. I want to buy a good quality coat to use at home aswell.
Are there any good technical gear brands that use actual technical fabric (not just the style) that offer rain proof coats? Pants would also be awesome. Or any good outlets with brands like gore tex etc?

I find it funny that Frontier puts fiber up all through the area, then a strange large Optimum fiber cut takes place interrupting our town and a bunch of schools. It's as if there's a monopoly and they want Optimum out of the way so everyone uses Verizon's... I mean Frontier's 5g.... I mean Fiber.
Before all this there were no problems with optimum out here none. I mean you know occasionally the water company digs up a line but it doesn't hit an entire east coast all at once. I like Optimum and I won't be going to any other company until they go out of buisness which looks to be in the near future in my opinion. But if you are awake I bet you see what I am referring to and the IOT.
