2024.12.01 01:42 throwawaybrainzzz Anyone fly to get their puppy and wish they flown or drive to get their puppy and wish they’d flown.

Will be picking up a toy breed puppy(around 2lbs) that turns 10wks on Christmas week.
It would have been great to fly on Christmas day and return because I assume the airport would be less busy that day. But since the breeder will understandably not be doing pickups that day, it seems like every other day will be brimming with holiday season chaos.
The flight would be 1 ½ hours but that doesn’t count time spent going thru security. And I know the breeder lives 30min from the airport, and I live 30 min from my airport as well so while not constant that’s another hour of travel time for the puppy. Now tack on the time spent getting thru security with the puppy and the whole being 2hrs check in before a flight. That adds up to like 4 ½ hr where she’d mostly be confined to his carrier.
For driving it’d be 5hrs for him. I’m not bothered by having to drive at all just trying to gauge stress. I know I’m being a worry wort.
The breeder said she’s had puppies do completely fine on the same drive and longer. She usually just suggests flights, but most who fly are coming from further away.
She also acknowledged the difference in the chaos at the airport during the holidays and said she thinks the pup would still be fine, but hinted with my worries I might do better to drive because it’ll make me feel like I have more control. She also mentioned that the puppy could still get car sick on the drive from the airport lol, though she does try to make sure a puppy isn’t picked up on a full stomach to help, there’s no guarantee the pup won’t have something in the tank to come out one end or the other.
This is longer than I meant, but I’d love more imput from other owners that were anxious choosing the right route to bring puppy home.

What the heck is this guy This is Beef. He just turned 8 weeks. He had his first vet appointment and she wasn't sure on breed but he's currently 11lbs and she says he's on the skinnier side for his size. Can't see it in the photos but his tail has a curl. He isn't super fluffy but his brother is.
Last few photos are him and his sister, his mom, and then all of his 8 siblings when they were still together at the shelter around 3 weeks old.

You were my greatest protector. I had never felt safer with anyone than I did with you, even though I would get a bit nervous when you were in angry mode. I told you about what had happened to me. I told you about the really rotten and difficult part of my life that I am so so ashamed of. I let you have complete power over me and put my trust in you to not harm me physically. The first time, I didn't say anything because I just wanted to give you what you wanted. You could tell by the sounds I was making that it was extremely painful. Eventually, you paused, for which I am grateful for.
That second time was a different story. I was in shock from the pain and from what was occurring. I would never, ever had any thought that you would do that to me. You watched me struggle to tell you about what happened to me previously. You heard me tell you no. You didn't ask about the video. To me, that felt like you telling me what I meant to you. That I was trash. My well-being, my physical, mental and emotional health were nothing. The lasting effects didn't matter. I couldn't do anything. I froze in fear. It's what I do. I couldn't fight you, I didn't want to upset you, and I was overwhelmed by pain.
I am scared now. I feel like I have no control over anything in my life. I am raw. I feel like you look at me with total disgust. I know you are sorry. And I accept your apology. I forgive you,, I promise. But, oh how sad and scared I am trying to deal withe the aftermath. I feel so small. I don't feel like anyone will want me based on what has happened in the past. 2024.12.01 01:42 CoolJeev7 Help AMR Stratagems For Bugs

I've been the AMR for a bit but have been struggling between what stratagems I want to take with me for Bugs.
My Loadout has the Breaker as my primary, Nade pistol and Thermites with Light ArmouEngineering Kit Perks
I always run Supply Pack with AMR as it essentially allows me to run it like a Primary which only leaves me with 2 Strat Slots left
What I realised is that AMR is amazing for medium Bugs, pair it with the supply pack u can spare enough ammo for the small Bugs, the problem is the really small mag capacity which leaves me very vulnerable to being overwhelmed and ability to deal with Bile Titans as they soak up too much damage before I can attend to the smaller Bugs. I've been trying out different combos but I can't find anything that feels comfortable for me. To name a few for what I use them for and my Problems with them:
Gas Strike - Puts A Pause on all enemies on a breach and good cooldown, however only lasts half as long as a breach and can't damage Bile Titans.The Radius feels too small and so feels like it needs to be placed in a Contained Area rather than to Contain an Area to work effectively as Crowd Control
Orbital Gatling Barrage - Good Cooldown, Can damage Bile Titans but not enough to synergise with the AMR, however only holds down a Breach for half the duration. The Radius feels too small and so feels like it needs to be placed in a Contained Area rather than to Contain an Area to work effectively as Crowd Control
Airburst Strike - IMO can clear out all medium tier Bugs from breaches well however has a longer cooldown compared to how many times I felt like I needed it and lacks ability to damage heavy Bugs.
Machine Gun Sentry - Lowish Cooldown and deal with very breaches well, however is basically non existent as soon as a heavy comes through.
Tesla Tower - God Tier at exterminating Bug Breaches, bit on the high side of cooldown however still a good trade off, long call in time, but basically done for if a Heavy is rolls up.
Eagle Cluster Bomb - Amazing at Crowd Control as a Big F*** You Wall but lacks on the Breaches aspect and Can't Damage Heavies.
500KG - Boring, just makes me want to play any other game honestly.
OPS - Good Cooldown, however suffers from Maps with Bad Terrains as Bile Titans can easily rear in another direction.
Eagle Airstrike - Consistent, Multiple Uses and can clear chaff that's with A Pursuing Bile Titan but chaff clear doesn't feel as effective whenever I need to break from a horde or the damage it does to a bile titan doesn't synergies well with the AMR as it does hit the right Spot (Head)
Eagle Strafing Run - My Prefered way of taking out Bile Titans, paired with AMR this can annihilate Titans, 1 placed Run can take 2 Mags of AMR rounds to the head down to 1 Mag and a Strafe Run cutting down the TTK drastically, but can't crowd control, useless against breaches and ONLY will rack up loads up kills if I've been training from a massive for a while but at that point I've wasted soo much time distancing myself from both the fight and the Objective.
I don't want anyone to come here and say that I'm not meant to cover every aspect, I'm just looking for the community to boil down this list with a couple of suggestions in what I can pair my last 2 slots with. And am aware that someone will come with the skill issue argument but please as a controller pleb trying to solo Diff 9 refrain from using this statement. 😁

I haven’t been able to connect to the new interns. I remember when we had TGIT, I was glued to the TV and didn’t answer calls. Hi - I have IgAN. (I think) because of my cellcept, I’ve developed a bad mouth ulcer on my tongue which is continuously rubbing against my back teeth. It is making swallowing (even just saliva) very difficult. Does anyone have any treatment tips? All mouth ulcer gels seem to be nsaid and salt water rinses seem not the best option for us with ckd! Don’t have a check up for a few weeks and definitely want help with this before then. Thank you!
