The way to work around the Sidney screen problem in widescreen I used is just creating two gk3 shortcuts, one having -width / -height 16:9 values (like 1280/720) added in the shortcut path and one having 4:3 values (1024/768). Before: "path\Gabriel Knight 3\GK3.exe" After: "path\Gabriel Knight 3\GK3.exe" -width 1920 -height 1200 However: At this res, the game is unbelievable slow and de facto unplayable. And to make things worse: My specs: i7-3,4GHz / 16GB / GF970-347.25 / Win 8.1-64 Native res is 2560x1440, and even modern games run fine. - Go to the GK3 folder and find the "Launch Gabriel Knight 3" shortcut. - Make a copy of the shortcut and change its properties as follows: - Under the "Target" field, paste the following (without quotes of-course): Download the best games on Windows & Mac. A vast selection of titles, DRM-free, with free goodies, and lots of pure customer love. Put the dgVoodoo.conf, dgVoodooCpl on GK3 folder. Also put the .dll files from MS folder to GK3 folder. Click the dgVoodooCpl and on DirectX tab check the Force vSync, Fast video memory access and put some antialiasing if you want (8x MSAA). Click OK and start the game. If you have dual monitor setup, disable the second monitor. Download the best games on Windows & Mac. A vast selection of titles, DRM-free, with free goodies, and lots of pure customer love. Hi all -- strange question here. I've been playing GK3 for awhile now with no problems, but now for the past few weeks I haven't been able to load the game. Whenever I try to load it, the screen goes black, changes resolution as normal, the Sierra logo sound effects play, but the screen remains black. 5) Make backup of C:\GOG Games\Gabriel Knight 3\GK3.exe 6) Replace C:\GOG Games\Gabriel Knight 3\GK3.exe with new gk3.exe 7) Right click Gabriel Knight 3 icon on deskttop --> properties --> compatibility --> set compaltibility mode to Windows 95 Then I simply created a D: drive with Power ISO (Didn't bother mounting the GK3.iso file) and hey presto, it worked. FYI, looked like hell with flickering graphics when I fired it up, until I switched to software rendering in settings, just in case you come across the same problem. Hello, taking advantage of Black Friday I bought the game Overcooked All you Can It on Steam. It downloaded perfectly, but when I try to play online I get the error E-0001. Before downloading this game I already had the game Overcooked 2 downloaded from epic games on my PC, which worked normally and in which I have been able to play online until yesterday. After having the error in the AYCE game I got tired and tried to play Overcoocked 2, however now THAT ONE DOESN'T LET ME PLAY ONLINE EITHER, I get an error E-00 or something similar. In my desperation I deleted the game Overcoocked 2 to see if the other one would work because I assumed that a problem was caused by having both games downloaded on the same PC, I don't know if it makes sense. Now I deleted both games and I'm very sad. I need help please, I can't play either of them anymore :(
