So I am using a Furnan power strip and it is supposed to have RFI and EFI shielding. So while my apartment may (?) have bad grounding, I am assuming/hoping the power strip, with those "features" alleviates that? Or...does it not, and I need to get a power conditioner?
Having said that, if the Fender instrument cables I am using are shielded and the ernie ball patch cables are shielded...and the pedals I have from known manufacturers have their built in shielding, is it possible that if my guitar isn't shielded, I could STILL get radio signals? If so, that's somewhat reassuring because that means I can troubleshoot my guitar.
Or is someone about to tell me the instrument cables are the problem? haha (happy to be told that, if it's possible. I am just "laughing" because what's the point of shielding and RFI advertising on these products then?)

Howdy gang. So I just went to change the oil on my 2011 Corolla S for the first time (used to do it myself on my VW and Volvo in the past) and ran into the dreaded stuck filter housing issue.
Tried lightly tapping. Tried the paper method. Tried tapping it rotationally with a flathead and a mallet.
Finally, telling myself "fuck this shit, I'm getting an aluminum one to never have to deal with this again" I went all-in and drilled a hole in the plastic housing.
It still didn't loosen.
Fast forward through a few iterations and I finally ended up drilling a second hole opposite the first and threading a screwdriver through both holes (so it looked like a "no" sign) AND WHACKED THAT WITH A 2x4 AND IT STILL DIDN'T BUDGE.
You guys, what the fuck am I gonna do? Really don't wanna have to pay a shop to get this POS off but at this point I'm thinking I have to.

 | For those here dreaming of stowing your Brompton in an overhead locker, then riding out of the airport, maybe Sydney is the place to come? I took a detour / longer ride home after the gym this morning and the path took me right around the airport. There seemed to be some paths that headed in the direction of the domestic terminal. Also seems to be set up for plane spotters with a few shaded areas with drinking fountains so you can set up shop and watch the planes come and go. This was the first “non-commute” ride I’ve done - a bit of a nosey around parts I don’t normally go to and it was a great little detour.
