My boyfriend has been very verbally abusive towards me and the other night it was in public and after we got home I kept to myself and got my journal and started writing down numbers of relatives,friends, and hotlines incase I need to make an escape because anytime I confront him about something he won’t let me walk away from him when I tell him I’m not going to take him talking to me the way he does. He will yank me and pull on me, corner me and scream in my face, he has literally pushed me to the ground and made me sit there and listen to him. After I wrote the numbers in my journal I messaged one of my friends to make sure I had their correct number and he snatched my phone and wouldn’t give it back and smashed my headphones. He is acting like I have cheated on him for messaging my friend, when I have proof/receipts of things he has done. Including looking at OF girls and asking girls on Reddit for pictures, posting intimate photos of us without my consent, offering to sell my socks, the list goes on. I’m feeling absolutely fucking lost.

I have an opportunity at work to look at fixing some slow queries and the conversation came up as to our approach to the sql connection as a whole.
A couple of questions here:
- We currently make a new connection per query as to not hold a connection open the entire time the app is open. Is this good practice?
- What is everyone’s preferred method for connection? We currently use ODBCs and Linked tables but is ADODBs faster? Or more reliable?

2024.12.01 04:54 Itchy-toenail My cat insists on occasionally peeing on my housemates belongings, I think it might be a behavioural issue?
My first post I rarely use reddit, but I’m looking for advice, I have an adult cat (unsure of age he came to me as a stray 3 years ago) and since moving in with housemates he keeps urinating on one of my housemates belongings like his bed and towels. I’m not sure why as he is neutered and always has a clean litter tray. I haven’t noticed anything unusual about his eating and drinking habits or urination habits and the colour of said pee that would raise alarm for a vet trip . He also hasn’t urinated anywhere else like in my room or the main house, only on my housemates stuff and in his litter box . I’m wondering if this is an underlying issue or if my cat just doesn’t like my housemate? Thanks in advance
