2024.12.01 04:39 BliknoTownOrchestra It's not the idol stuff; it's (at least partly) the workload and management.
I feel like the recent graduations have brought on more scrutiny towards the idol focus of Hololive, and how detrimental it is to streaming activities. Of course, vocal training and dance lessons are time-consuming and tiring. But the issue, or at least the main issue isn't the fact that Holomems are expected to be idols.
Aqua, Ame, and Chloe have not said anything about just wanting to be a streamer. Two of them have also elected to be affiliates; we don't quite know exactly what that means, but if they are ever coming back, it probably won't be to have a random gaming stream.
And Fauna, even though her content war relatively streaming-heavy compared to other members, has clearly spelled it out that her issues were not with singing, or being an idol.
To add on to the idea that the change in direction to music and concerts isn't the problem: I also see speculation that becuase of the change in Cover's goals, the old guard of Holo is taking it especially hard. I'm not really sure we can pinpoint when such a change occurred, but I disagree. Sora, and later on Suisei—some of the earliest members—are at the forefront of idol-like activities. Meanwhile, it would be erroneous to assume that the newest members are taking the workload in stride.
ReGLOSS had lots of similar issues.
They've professed that they didn't even know they were going to be a singing and dancing focused group until they got in. To be clear, some of them like Ao and Hajime wanted to join Holo because they wanted to do those huge music events, but they didn't know the focus of their group was going to that. The label was ammo for a lot of attacks on them, even apparently from staff that didn't know how much work they were putting in to meet the goal.
The 2.5 million subs goal put undue pressure on them and was also a surprise for the members. I'm still very salty about that one. I'm gonna digress so you might want to skip to the next portion if you don't care, but that decision felt so stupid. Ao was pretty open about the pressure it put on her (though she speaks of the decision in a positive light). Like I know it wasn't an actual requirement for 3D, but why did they have to tie it to something so inconsequential as sub count? And no matter how you set the goal, there was going to be someone who was gonna be in "last place". And couldn't they have at least briefed the members on it?? I guess it's proof that management had a lot of confidence in the group, if I had to defend the decision.
Raden was seriously contemplating quitting. We don't know exactly why, but the early days were extremely hard on her. Of course, she's still here, and in the same message that she revealed that she used to want to quit, she said that she's happy she didn't do so.
The ReGLOSS 3D live was amazing and is personally the best content Holo put out this year. But man was it hard on them. They've all talked about how much time and effort they put in for practicing their singing and dancing. And Ririka was particularly open about how hard dancing was and that the way she felt that she was lagging behind the other caused her immense stress.
All members have expressed that they love both sides of the job. This isn't to say that they shouldn't have done the 3D live or whatever, they all looked back on the ordeal positively. And obviously there are a thousand things that they currently enjoy doing that couldn't have happened without being in Hololive.
I'm a huge, huge fan of ReGLOSS and what they managed to overcome and accomplish is truly inspiring, but they definitely were not taking it in stride. I might even go as far to say that they did it in spite of the workload and some management level mistakes.
TL;DR: It's not being an idol; it's the workload that being a Hololive member demands. And a long-winded rant about ReGLOSS.

"Well-praised", doesn't need to be popular. Just well-praised with the popularity it has...What's that anime for y'all?
For me it's "Great pretenders" , people say it's underrated and is really good. And when I watched it. Yes it was pretty enjoyable at first, but it got progressively worse, especially the last arc.
I am gonna rant now, so [SPOILERS for the show] >!I fucking hate the last arc so much. I mean I can understand that the show exaggerates things and that's why it's cool. But for fuck sake what was the last arc??
Everything was presented like it's something serious but it was literally the embodiment of "You may have outsmarted me, but I have outsmarted your outsmarting" in the dumbest way possible. And this whole thing was repeating again and again throughout the entire show.
I also hate how the MC was treated throughout the show, and that motherfucker still joins the gang repeatedly. And in the second last episode when bro lost his mind, I actually thought there will be a conflict but NO, it was all the part of the "plan". I felt so betrayed.
Also, wtf was the after credit scene in the last episode? So the yellow hair dude throws his ring in the ocean (given by his fiance who he thinks is dead), is eaten by a fish. And that fish gets to become his girlfriend dish who is surprisingly alive and have lost memories?? That's the lamest writing I have ever seen!<
I personally wouldn't even give it a 1/10 but still it's a 5 because for me because my favourite waifu (Abigail Jones) is in the show. And would also watch the next season only for her... Yeah

Playing after a 2-3 year break. There are way too many sets it seems which can be a good thing I guess? But the cards i've played against seem absurdly overpowered like [Unstoppable Slasher] and these creatures that turn into enchantments when they die. Way too much bang for two or three mana.

My brother took his life a few months ago and ever since I've not found peace in my heart. I feel so much conflict and distrust. I keep blaming myself, my father, my other brother....I don't know what to think or who to trust.
Most of all, I don't know why Allah allowed this. I don't know why Allah put my brother through impossible tests in his life. I don't want to go into detail on here, but he's not known a single moment of peace in his entire life. There was never a good outcome to his life. There was never a solution. There was just pain and suffering of every dimension.
Why? Why did he have to go through these trials if it didn't even bring him closer to Islam? What was the point?
I'm trying my best to trust Allah but I don't know why I'm doing that anymore. I know Allah knows best. I truly think Allah ended his suffering. That much I know. But why did he have to suffer in the first place?
Please don't judge me for these thoughts. I believe in Allah, and Islam has saved my life many times. So please know I'm coming from a place of desperation. All I used to care about was my relationship to Allah, and I'm feeling like I lost that as soon as my brother died. I want to come back but I feel so hurt. All I ever prayed for was my brother's well being...

So a weird thing happened. I live in a condo and I ordered something on DoorDash and wrote in the instructions that I would give a cash tip (since I had some left over cash I want to get rid of). I got a knock on the door and I went to get it but the door dasher had left. I couldn’t see him so I called out to him.
I said hello, and then he said hi from the elevator. I told him I had a tip for him and then he said thank you and then just went down the elevator. I was super confused by this. Was he mad I didn’t tip from the app? Or did he not read the notes?

Can i just say i do love smite i have over 3k hours on smite 1 and 200 hours in smite 2. BUT
- what were they thinking adding all this CC into the game with only 1 relic slot with a 180 second cooldown when they can get 2ults of before i get my relic back?? We only talking about 1 god here not the OTHER 4 GODS RUNNING AROUND with flips,stuns, cripples, knockups, and pulls. I get it they wanted to change things up but the fact that i have to choose between 1 of 12+ abilities on the enemy team to choose between just to Possibly survive is crazy.
- Relic cooldowns need to be either cut in half sense we're already down 1 relic OR make active items have a lower cooldown to make them more viable because why does a relic and a active have the same downtime???🫤
- Is it just me or are my dashes getting canceled 2+ times before it actually want to work because of the cripples, stuns, pushes, and silences. I can't count how many times i had to spam to get it off as someone with a dash. Hades taking damage after you activate his dash because he's not fully underground is stupid please fix it getting clipped in the head by kuku ult isn't fun.
- WHY AM I A ADC GETTING OUT BASIC ATTACKED BY A MAGE??? WHAT'S THE POINT OF RUNNING CUPID WHEN ZEUS, MORGAN, AND SO MANY OTHER MAGES JUST DO IT BETTER??? Yeah ima hit you with my abilities that do 400 damage if that while you get 2.5 attack speed and a 700+ damage abilities. I understand "we're trying to make gods play in other roles" but please make the gods built specifically for that role GOOD at it
