Let's discuss the state of Throne & Liberty, our interesting and wonderful mass PVP game that we all semi-love yet semi-hate at the same time. I'm not going to harp onto the common topics like the endless bugs, zerging, and etc, instead i want to discuss what i think are more "controversial" or not frequently mentioned. Let's begin the trigger:
"Real Money Trading" Point #1 -- I'll be the first to mention: I support RMT to a varying degree. The way Amazon Games / game designers has manipulated the community in believing their logic is unfortunate. First off, lets call a spade a spade. Amazon Games deals in real money trading, and anyone who has ever bought lucent from the store is conducting "RMT", regardless of them attempting to redefine it. At the end of the day, you're trading real money for an in-game currency which you cannot obtain any other way, which is directly used to buy items from other players.
Point #2 -- Economics: The game developers has led people to believe that RMT based around 3rd party purchases is inherently negative because it supports botting and disrupts the economy. Lets dig a bit deeper into this for a second... first off, 98-99% of all purchases 3rd party lucent comes from other players. Those 3rd parties are either players themselves or resellers of lucent sold to them by other players, normally top guilds around the world as lucent is account-wide. Secondly, purchasing from 3rd party is actually deflationary rather than inflationary... When you purchase lucent from the TL store, there's a net-new creation of new lucent that didn't exist in the market previously... this is inflationary and tends to overall increase the prices of goods, which is why there's a tax to try and control that. Purchasing from a 3rd party is a circulation of already existing lucent which then subsequently gets taxed, further removing lucent from the market. RMT from a 3rd party actually helps regulate economics and deflates the value of goods through removal of currency in circulation, there's not a net-new creation.
Skins & Lack of Viewing Gear I love skins, in fact i got hit with a 7k negative balance of lucent specifically because of skins. I bought quite a few of them :>... the challenge is that the game is a rock-paper-scissors sort of structure. This means countering a build type with an alternate build type is key.. esp in arena or GvG when being strategic. You can't see people's gear unfortunately, and at best you can see their weapons only if they allow it. Now, normally you'd be able to determine their build and what they're most likely weak to, based on what gear they're wearing.. UNLESS of course, you're wearing a skin. Which many may not have realized it, but it does push/force a lot of people to spend money to buy skins, specifically to have a strategic advantage in matchups. I consider this a downfall personally... The game should promote strategic planning rather than just a giant surprise mystery or who has the biggest zerg, which is pretty low-iq rubbish.

2024.12.01 04:47 Key-Listen773 Gastritis from chronic ibuprofen use

I had two bulging discs in my lower back to the point where I would throw my back out at least once a month (to the point where I looked a jumbo shrimp and I could not straighten my back out and I could not walk for five days, it was excruciating) during this time I would pop ibuprofen like no tomorrow. I had no idea. It was so bad for you because my mom used to always take it, should always recommend taking three which I guess is an overdose. I ended up taking around 3 to 6 a day for long period of time. Doctors kept telling me to take it easy and just walk and don’t work out, but I had a lot of friends who fix the issue from lifting so I ended up resorting to lifting weights in the gym to fix my back and it miraculously worked. I had been suffering with problems for about four years. I believe it was from bartending. And going to the gym getting a personal trainer and lifting was the answer I have not had back pain since and it’s been two years! Amazing!
But on the tail end of my recovery from chronic back issues, it was traded for chronic stomach issues. It started when I had really bad burning in my throat, I didn’t know it was wrong with me. I thought I had strep so I took more ibuprofen to stop the pain going to make it worse. I was so miserable I could not eat. I couldn’t swallow, it hurt to talk, and I lost my voice. I went to different doctors for about two months until I finally figured it out. I was convinced i had stomach cancer or an ulcer I was in so much pain and I could not stop throwing up, I had an endoscopy and it just turned out to be gastritis. I had to go on omeprazole on and off for at least a year.
I weaned myself off of it because it is really really bad for your health, and I manage it by avoiding my triggers, I dont drink alcohol, and I can get away with eating a lot of things, but every once in a while if I eat something that triggers my stomach issues I go all the way back to square one.
My gastritis gets so bad I will be in misery all day and night and continuously throw up acid. Nothing helps, not Pepcid, no antacid, not even my old faithful baking soda and water! The only relief I get is after I throw up every little tiny bit of stomach acid and bile and it comes back a in few hours when it replenishes. When this happens, I take omeprazole but it takes a couple days to work and I just have to wait out the misery. My really bad triggers have been: Asian food that has a lot of sauce (like Chinese food), absolutely anything spicy!!! (Which is so sad because I love spicy food rip 😭)
Those two give me a worse reaction that alcohol does, which I try to avoid anyways but I’m not sure why those affect me so badly. I know if I am just super strict and I don’t eat any processed food or any of my trigger foods I will be totally fine but I am worried that the severe reactions to foods I used to enjoy quite regularly are a sign of a much more serious issue, or if it’s just how my body is now? I had a friend suggest Sucralfate (Carafate) , wondering if anyone has had any luck with this? Appreciate any input and wanting to know if anyone else has had a similar issue.

I get so many hate messages and reports just because I’m good with SVD. I been using it since the game released so it’s not abnormal for me to have games where I’m dropping 40+ kills and usually around 20 headshots. Ive even had my own teammates accuse me of cheating and report me because of this. Why does the SVD piss people off so much?

I’ve heard a lot lately about fretboard fluency lately. In my understanding it’s basically knowing all of the notes of the guitar neck and being able to understand how they all interact to create the sounds you want. CAGED, pentatonic scales, majominodominant 7 shapes, dimininished, and a lot more stuff. I’m a few years into playing guitar but all of this theory stuff is very new to me. I want to be able to intelligently play all throughout the neck of my guitar within the next year or so. Does anyone have any good suggestions on where to start with achieving this fretboard fluency?
