2024.12.01 05:00 THROWRA666718 AITA for making my boyfriend feel uncomfortable after he cried in front of me?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been with my boyfriend for about a year now. He’s a wonderful person—kind, caring, and thoughtful—but he’s incredibly hard on himself, and some of his behaviors worry me.
For some context, he’s 5’2”, and I’m 5’6”. He’s very self-conscious about his height and brings it up often, usually in a self-deprecating or joking way. He calls himself things like a “pathetic manlet” and sometimes says that because he’s short, he has to have the perfect body to keep me from leaving him. He frames it as a joke, but I can tell he takes it seriously.
He works out obsessively, to the point where it feels less about being healthy and more like punishing himself. He has a toned, slim build now, but he pushes himself so hard that I worry about him. He also has a history of anorexia and being dangerously underweight. While he doesn’t skip meals anymore, he still seems terrified of gaining weight. On rare occasions, I’ve caught him binge eating, and a few times, I’ve seen him make himself throw up afterward. When I try to bring it up, he gets defensive or brushes it off, so I haven’t pushed him too hard on it.
Last night, he came home after a bad day at work. He looked completely drained and barely said a word. I made him tea and sat with him, telling him it was okay to relax and that I was there if he needed anything.
At first, he stayed silent, just staring at the floor. Then, out of nowhere, he broke down crying. It completely caught me off guard because he’s never cried in front of me before—not once in the entire time we’ve been together.
I didn’t know what to do, but I instinctively hugged him. He held onto me tightly, burying his face in my shoulder while he cried. I just rubbed his back and let him cry as long as he needed.
When he finally calmed down, he pulled away, avoided eye contact, and muttered something about how I “shouldn’t have had to see that.” Then he went to take a shower. Since then, he’s been distant—barely talking to me and acting like he’s ashamed or embarrassed.
I love him, and it breaks my heart to see him be so harsh on himself. He carries so much weight on his shoulders and seems to think he has to be perfect to deserve love. I want to help him feel safe and supported, but I don’t know how to approach this without making him feel worse or pushing him away.
Is it my fault that he feels this way now? Did I do the wrong thing by hugging him? AITA for not talking to him now? I'm just really lost.

I'm thinking of switching to the LSIA hanger this week while they are on sale. I purchased the zancudo hanger the last time the hangers were on sale and have had rooster source me about 11 crates and that's it it. Now I make decent money off letting the helpers source my cargo in the warehouses and had every intention of doing the same with the hanger but I just don't. It's so far away from everything else I just never go out there. I'm aware this has been discussed at length in the sub but am curious just how many players who don't source their own cargo prefer LSIA due to it being so close to the city and use rooster more because of it?

Everyone has a legitimate claim to victimhood. We have all been treated in some unfair way, but never see yourselves as the victim. When you blame others for your failures you will never grow. Everyone has lost someone, everyone has been beaten to the ground. But what makes those who we look up to as heroes, different from us is they have looked past the unfairness in life and they have moved forwards. No one who has made it anywhere in life believes they are the victim. For a long time saw myself as the victim I blame others for what I did. I still do some times, but I ask my self is this helping me? What I learn is that sabotage our self every day we tell our self were not good enough. We do things we know we would not, but we don't know why we don't stop.

I currently use a Godox tt350 on my Gh5, and don’t have much knowledge with flashes other than what I’ve picked up on while messing around with it.
I want to get another flash to set up on a light stand closer to my subject (specifically skateboarding) and fire it wirelessly using the different sync modes.
From my understanding, I can purchase another tt350 and pair the two to achieve that goal, but I would like to pair something a bit more powerful. I don’t quite have it in my budget to get a Godox AD200 (though I would consider it more if it’s my best option), so I was thinking I could get a tt685 to use as a slave, keep the tt350 on my body as a master, and have a budget friendly set up with some versatility. Has anyone tried this set up before? Is it reasonable for what I’m trying to do?

2024.12.01 05:00 Unturned3 How can TransformerXL be used for text classification?
For a normal encoder-only Transformer like BERT, I know we can add a CLS token to the input that "aggregates" information from all other tokens. We can then attach a MLP to this token at the final layer to produce the class predictions.
My question is, how would this work for TransformerXL, which processes a (long) input in small chunks? It must output a CLS token every chunk, right? Do then we only use the last of these CLS tokens (which is produced when TrXL consumes the final chunk of the input) to make the class prediction, and compute the loss from this? Or is there a totally different way to do this?

My spouse’s birthday is coming up and I’m having a hard time coming up with a way to celebrate. Normally I’d take him to do something outdoorsy, to a whiskey tasting, breweries, etc but I’m pregnant and those go-tos are rather complicated now. He’s been working crazy hard and I’d like to take him to do something and decompress a little.
His interests:
Fancy bourbon, rum, beer Space (as in rockets, spacex, nasa, blue origin, etc) Hiking Good food, sampling cuisine 90s/2000s alt rock Engineering
Previous outings he’s enjoyed:
Youngblood (loves this place) Dinner at Jeune et Jolie Bowling Star parties/astronomy events Medieval sword fighting class
I’m willing to spend a few hundred on an evening out. Appreciate any ideas!

As a native I never got to be a tourist in my own city. Usually I’m more of the adventurous type, but I always thought it’d be nice to stay in one of these resort style places for a 3 day weekend or so.
I also want to take out my parents (they’re senior citizens now), as they have never been to a resort. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a kind of relaxing get away in San Diego (or OC/socal)? Or am I better off doing something like Cabo or a cruise?
