After 443 sometimes fun, often times PAINFUL hours, I have completed 100% of the Palia Steam achievements. My brain hurts, my soul is tired, my body might soon need resuscitating, but folks…I did it. I am a completionist, aka a masochist, so it had to be done.
Thank you to those who believed in me, who told me to never give up even when I was at my wits end. Thank you to the RNG gods who took pity on me every time I was seconds away from pressing ALT F4. A big SCREW YOU to whoever came up with this damn achievement list; I never want to see another oyster for as long as I live. Fishing has been ruined for me forever, and don’t even get me STARTED on the makeshift furniture or catching a starred Rainbow Tipped Butterfly.

I’m feeling very conflicted and feeling like an absolute brat. My partner has VERY kindly bought me an apple watch for Christmas. He doesn’t know that I know. He’s worked so so hard to afford it and I am beyond grateful. The issue I have is, it’s a colour I really don’t want. I’m aware of how superficial that sounds but if he’s spending over £700 on a watch, I want to absolutely love it. I just really don’t want to hurt his feelings. Would I be the AH if I ask him (on Christmas Day) if I exchange for another colour?

I finished God of war 4 feeling pretty powerful compared to what I was when the game started. That's to be expected. But starting God of war Ragnarok and I'm weak again? Tf. It doesn't even happen that long after GOW4. I get that we'll need to level up again but did he really have to forget all his combos and all the basic move sets? Like, I really have to grind for xp and buy the counter attack ability again? I don't get why games do this, especially didn't expect GOWR to be one of em.
Horizon forbidden west handled this perfectly where Aloy was weaker in stats but she retained most of her skills and abilities from zero dawn. So it didn't feel like she had become weak again cus she still had most of the skills and abilities. I really don't get why kratos had to "forget" combos between GOW4 and GOWR 😂

I am looking at investing in an overseas index, say S&P 500, and there appear to be two simple options for me to do this; (Note: the investment will be above 50,000 NZD so it will attract FIF)
1) Purchase an ETF like Vanguard VOO directly through a broker or online platform
2) Invest in a PIE fund that tracks the same index - says the InvestNow Foundation Series US 500 Fund
From my investigation, it seems the PIE option is more tax-efficient and requires less work while still offering the same 0.03% management rate. I understand that I will pay FIF tax in either option, but I am curious to know why I wouldn't use a PIE.
In other words, what are the advantages of being outside a PIE in this scenario, if any?
