Assuming the overall financial benefit of a parkrun (health, social, and just plain fun) is around US$10 per person per run, that's $33m worth of benefit a week, that's $1.7B a year. Parkrun is such an amazing 'movement' its founders deserve a Nobel prize.
And the volunteers deserve a big thank you at the very least every time we run past one of them! BTW I put things in a financial sense because that gives you a value, and not because money is everything (which it's not)!

i dont mean this in a "i look like a girl when im not meant to be one" kind of way, i mean i literally just looked in the mirror and was confused for a moment. im not on T, im not even out to my parents, but i looked into my eyes and saw a guy, a complete dude, a manly man. i genetically look very masc but i usually have a couple fem features to balance it out and rn i cant see them š and while that's sick and all i had a shower a couple hours ago and my hair is all flat and i look like a hippie, which, yknow, is less than ideal.
dunno why i felt like sharing this, just a celebratory post i suppose š¤·

I getting my first steam deck soon hopefully in a few days. I getting the 512 gb model was on sale via the steam store. For that price under 400 dollars it's hard to pass up on that deal especially nowadays. I would like a oled but that's just too much to spend on a handheld. To be really honest it's better to get the cheapest price than the next big thing. Who knows what could happen in the future. We all might be in the dangerous zone of modern gaming prices. Get all the sales and deals you can get now.

Alright guys, I've watched many videos and followed instruction but cannot figure this out. So I have the latest version of dolphin installed as of 12/1/2024. I am trying to play call of duty world at war on my odin 2. Google says that cod waw supports the wii classic controller. When I use the wii classic controller setting in wii inputs and load the game(with buttons mapped) it brings up a message saying plug in nunchuck. When I use the nunchuck setting in wii inputs, I have left stick(movement) but don't see any options to map the C stick and therefore I cannot look around. I NEED YOUR HELP! I'll answer any questions as I can. Thank You!

Damn I'm getting pretty annoyed that wherever I look there is a post about Veilguard score. REEEEE 1/10, 2/10 or REEEE 8/10, 9/10. Why can't we have a normal middleground? Like idk 6/10? 6/10 isn't bad score it literally means a good game, not great, not bad just good. Realistically it can't be 2/10 it's not hot garbage but it can't be 9/10 it's not that good technically/mechanically but for F... sake all I see are people on those 2 spectrums and no idk middleground(?) anywhere
