Hunted down an ember hot knife - faulty battery - Support sent out a replacement - first knife died last Monday- when the replacement was opened almost 100% the same issue from Puffco, but the first ones battery kinda stretched out before it died completely.
I wasn’t completely worried at first because maybe the battery would tough it out like before, no.. now when using it the white LED wouldn’t illuminate when on/HOT, but would glow orange while charging.
I have a guardian edition hot knife, and know the proper amp/V charger to use for charging. I use the lil cable supplied with the tool. My guardian edition has had 0 issues with battery.
Not sure what the issue is here. I reached out to puffco on the original email chain on Tue. Jan 14. with no response. I just now reached out again with a more complete email. Has anyone else had these issues with their special edition hit knifes??

There is a small one room self guided museum with some of the history and artifacts of the old watch factory. The original factory was at one point the largest brick building in the United States. Now it's been transformed into offices and apartments. Here are some pictures. On my softmodded Xbox (using the ENDGAME exploit), I haven't been able to use FTP since I downloaded UIX. Both FileZilla and Core FTP don't work. This post seems to have the same issue, but it's 6 years old at this point. Is there anything I can do? Or should I just use UnleashX to FTP? (If it helps, I currently have no other option but to use internet sharing through ethernet from my PC to my Xbox, and I can confirm it can connect in the first place.

So the backstory is that I've told my mom that I'll try to take the mcat in jan a couple months ago as just a side comment (but i didn't sign up for it). Time flashes, I just finished biochem and I wasn't able to take it in January. Then, I could sense her anxiety and slight disappointment so I told her maybe i'll take it in march, but all the spots were taken up. So I signed up for May. She was pretty disappointed and said that I should be on top of things and said she gets it because she also struggles with procrastination.
No one in my family is a physician, so she doesn't know anything about how the mcat works except from my anxious dumps and telling her what I've heard/seen so far from others that have taken it.
Right now, I'm doing an honors thesis spending more than 20 hrs a week in lab among other commitments. And after two ish weeks of this grueling study schedule I'm down with a sickness that I'm pretty sure caused from the stress and overworking. So I told her that I think this kinda her fault, that I could be taking it a bit easier had she not been so anxious and had reflected my anxiety. I know I could've said it a bit better but with the frustration from being sick and other things on my plate that's how it came out. I was implying that once in a while it would be nice if she said something like "it's okay to take it slow, make sure you're fully prepared and take it when you are ready."
I just wish she took a couple minutes out of her day and looked up the specs of the mcat instead of listening to my unrealistic schedules and expectations for myself. She and I are similar in the sense that we're quick to anxiety and judgement. Also, I'm taking two gap years so I could be taking the mcat next year around this time at the latest.
AITA for telling her this is her fault?

My 95yo grandfather has an iPad 2 which he uses solely for FaceTime and iMessaging family. At some point photos sent via iMessage have stopped appearing- he gets an icon with the file type but can't see the actual pictures. These are all HEIC images, I'm not sure if that's relevant, even when e.g. my iPhone setting is for most compatible.
Is this just because the iPad is ancient, or is there some setting he might have changed?
He has advanced dementia and change is upsetting and confusing for him. We've offered to get him a newer iPad but he refuses as he's comfortable with this one.
Any advice is much appreciated!

My existing 240V circuit to the garage has 10 gauge wire. My electrician installed a 35A breaker for the 32A max VW level 2 charger. I’m not an electrician, but 32A over 10 gauge wire seems a bit high since there are recommendations to use a 30A breaker on 10 gauge wire The MyVW app has only two level 2 charging speeds Max 32A and Reduced 10A. I want a setting between 10 and 32A. I haven’t tried digging into the infotainment settings to see if I can reduce the Max charging amperage. Is this possible?

In short, I decided to start playing dreamcast games, and since then I have been looking for games to play that support achievements, not necessarily for mastery (I would only do that if I really liked the game), but rather to see how many achievements I could get playing normally. The problem is that from what I've seen, there are relatively few games available with achievements (considering the number of games that exist for the dreamcast). And most of the time I find a game that seems really good, I look for it on RA and see that there are no achievements, which ends up being very frustrating, and that's why I came here to ask for recommendations on dreamcast games that have achievements. , preferably games outside the obvious (sonic adventure, jet set radio, crazy taxi, code veronica, etc.).
Oh, I also accept recommendations for PSP games.
